This is the heartwarming moment a Parklife festival goer proposed to his girlfriend on stage in front of tens of thousands of fans.
The exhilarating proposal took place earlier today during the set of Colombian-born, London-based artist Yung Filly, who was one of the first artists to perform at the festival in Manchester.
Fan Miles, who had scored a backstage pass after winning a competition in the weeks leading up to the festival, was brought on stage by the singer, comedian and social media star as part of his prize experience.
But after taking to the stage, he got down on one knee and popped the question to girlfriend Indie, much to the delight of a sea of roaring fans.
Indie was blown away by the clearly unexpected proposal and quickly nodded in approval, prompting Yung Filly – real name Andres Felipé Barrientos – to declare ‘she said yes!’ which sent the crowd into raptures.

Yung Filly was hugely supportive of the young couple and appeared ecstatic when Indie responded positively to Miles’ proposal.
The artist, who is arguably best known for his social media presence and performances with online comedy network Wall of Entertainment, celebrated wildly on stage, pumping his fists and jumping around the dias alongside fellow artist HAZEY.
‘One more time, make some noise for Miles and Indie, Parklife!’ Filly yelled into the mic, earning the couple one more cheer from the crowd before they were ushered off stage.
Parklife, the UK’s largest metropolitan festival, will see 80,000 people descend on Heaton Park in Manchester today and tomorrow after 2020’s festival was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, while last year’s event took part in September under strict testing and vaccination rules.
The festival has been graced with glorious weather so far this weekend, delighting revellers who turned up sporting an incredible variety of colours and costumes.
Parklife has some huge names on the bill this year, with rapper 50Cent preparing to headline tonight’s show alongside Jamie xx and Chase & Status.
They’ll be joined by the likes of Loyle Carner, Peggy Gou, Four Tet and Sonny Fodera, to name just a few.

Festival worker Sacha Lord told Manchester Evening News the atmosphere at this year’s festival is a noticeable improvement compared with that of last year’s event, which went ahead but was hamstrung by Covid restrictions.
‘Last year, it was great, but you felt that everyone was a little bit tense… There was no hugging last year. I don’t think it was because people didn’t want to, but we’d kind of been conditioned not to.
‘Everyone seems really happy, they really do. There’s a lot of smiles out there. The vibe feels really nice.
‘There are kids who have saved up and saved up to come out for this weekend, and I just hope they have an amazing time.’
