The former alcoholic revealed she was in a rut throughout Todd’s 2016 inception as the NRL’s CEO.

Her life revolved around ‘the next drink’, at levels of two wine bottles per day disguised in sips out of takeaway coffee cups.

Her addiction increased when she sold her boutique fitness business, which she ran for two decades, to spend more time with her husband.

Mrs Greenberg spoke to News Corp’s Body and Soul, revealing that she sought professional help.

‘I was given an ultimatum by my family. They said if you’re going to drink again we are going to leave. I promised them I wouldn’t, and I meant it,’ she said.

‘But they came home and I was drinking, so they packed up and left.

I was broken, defeated, suicidal. I just thought I didn’t deserve to be on this planet.’
