The distraught agent of model and influencer Jeff Thomas, 35, has revealed the last conversation they had just a day before he was found dead at the bottom of his Miami apartment complex.

His agent, from the Los Angeles-based Sovereign Talent Group, told DailyMail.com exclusively that she was shocked to hear about her client’s sudden and tragic passing.

The pair had been texting about the next phase of his life just 24 hours before he died on March 8 to the shock of his 120,000 followers.

‘He was in good spirits and was excited to tell me about his move to Miami and the next chapter in his life. He had started a new business though I didn’t know what it was yet,’ said the agent, who asked not to be named.

She said he sounded like his regular, positive happy self during their exchange.

‘We were talking about a funny audition that I had for him that involved some type of petty fight. We laughed about it and he told me how he is a comedian at heart. I am just stunned. I don’t even know how to react,’ she said.

A police report shared with DailyMail.com shows that Miami police were called to a suicide at a luxury apartment building at Brickell Avenue at 4:12pm on March 8.

Thomas’ body was found on the sidewalk below and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services. Many witnesses were reported outside the building, and animal control was present to retrieve a dog that was left in the apartment.

The luxury high-rise building on Miami’s Brickell Avenue where Thomas lived boasts 57-floors and is situated on the bay with stunning views of the Miami River and in close proximity to the trendy downtown area.

An official cause of death has not yet been determined until an autopsy is complete.

Thomas’ cousin, Meghan Rae, told DailyMail.com that his family member did not die by suicide.

‘This was not a suicide. To report otherwise is a complete disregard to his character and who he was,’ she said.

‘The information being published is false and defamatory. No further comments will be made by our family. Please respect our privacy and his memory during this difficult time.’

Thomas’ agent said she and Thomas had planned to speak on Friday but on Tuesday –  after their text exchange – he called again but did not leave a message.

The pair worked together for four years and she said they communicated often and had mutual friends. She described Thomas as 'sweet, outgoing, lovely and happy ... not your typical hot looking guy'
