Karl Stefanovic looked exhausted on the Today show on Friday morning – and it didn’t go unnoticed by his co-hosts.

The breakfast TV anchor, 48, admitted he was ‘pretty tired’ after travelling from Sydney to Melbourne on Thursday for Nine’s coverage of the Australian Open.

It comes after 24 hours of chaos following the release of an extraordinary video of his bust-up with his friend Michael Clarke at a park in Noosa earlier this month.

In the footage, the Channel Nine star is seen intervening in a blazing row between Clarke and his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough – the sister of Stefanovic’s wife Jasmine – after she accused the cricketer of cheating on her with his ex Pip Edwards.

Stefanovic blamed his fatigue on staying up all night to watch the thrilling Australian Open tennis match between Andy Murray and Thanasi Kokkinakis, which went for five hours and 45 minutes before ending at 4:05am.

However, it’s also possible he was playing peacemaker until the early hours, fielding frantic calls from his wife, sister-in-law and good mate as they struggled to deal with their dirty laundry being aired so publicly.

‘[It’s our] duty, you know, being the broadcaster of tennis to stay up and watch it all  night,’ he said, adding that he’s going to need match sticks to keep his eyes open.

Co-hosts Sarah Abo, Brooke Boney, Alex Cullen and Tim Davies continued to brutally roast the TV star.

‘I am like, so tired,’ Stefanovic complained.

‘Yeah, we can tell Karl. Wake up!’ Abo retorted.

Boney also joined in on calling out the Channel Nine presenter, adding: ‘The way you’re carrying on, it’s like you played.’

Stefanovic responded saying that he feels like he had played a five-hour-long tennis match.

‘You gotta get a metal hip like Andy Murray,’ Cullen said.

Stefanovic’s weariness is no doubt also due to the fallout over the extraordinary park brawl, which took place in Noosa on January 10.

The 60 Minutes reporter is yet to make a statement over the ordeal, but was asked about the footage during an event held at the Australian Open on Thursday.

According to the Herald Sun he smiled when asked about the incident.

‘You know what the answer is going to be,’ he replied.

Karl Stefanovic and Michael Clarke have been friends for years - with the TV identity introducing the former cricketer to Jade Yarbrough, his wife's sister

Queensland Police have since made a statement and confirmed they are investigating the stunning confrontation.

‘Queensland Police are investigating an incident between a 30-year-old woman and 41-year-old man depicted in footage at Lions Park on Gympie Terrace in Noosaville earlier this month,’ police said.

‘As this matter on January 10, 2023 is under investigation the Queensland Police Service is unable to provide any further comment.’

The leaked Daily Telegraph video shows Clarke, 41, and Today host Karl Stefanovic, 48, clashing at a park in Noosa, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, earlier this month while on holiday with their respective partners, sisters Jasmine and Jade Yarbrough

Dramatic footage leaked on Wednesday showing a shirtless Clarke being slapped by his angry girlfriend Jade Yarbrough. The melee was over Clarke’s ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards, with Jade accusing the former Australian cricket captain of cheating with the P.E Nation designer

The dramatic footage, obtained by the Daily Telegraph, shows a shirtless Clarke being screamed at and slapped by his furious girlfriend as others in the group, including Stefanovic and celebrity accountant Anthony Bell, try to defuse the fracas.

The viral video of the Noosa incident shows Yarbrough accusing Clarke of sleeping with Edwards on December 17, and messaging her to say she is the ‘love of his life’.

All hell broke loose as Clarke, Stefanovic and the Yarbrough sisters were having dinner at a beachside restaurant in Noosa with accountant Anthony Bell.

The video begins with Yarbrough screaming at Clarke before she slaps him in the face and pushes him away after the cricketer insists he didn’t cheated on her.

‘I’m wrong? I’m f**king wrong! You’re a f***ing liar. I can see everything. You called her,’ she screams, apparently referring to messages between Clarke and Edwards.

‘Baby you’re wrong, you’re wrong,’ Clarke insists. ‘Baby, baby, Belly was at the house. I swear on my life, I swear on my life… That’s not true, it’s not true.’

He then swore on his daughter Kelsey Lee’s life he did not cheat on her.

But Yarbrough refuses to believe Clarke’s desperate protests and claims she spoke to Pip.

‘You’re f**king lying to me. You are a piece of s**t. I just spoke to her. What is wrong with you?’ she says.

Clarke again denies sleeping with Edwards and replies: ‘No I didn’t. You can hit me. That’s not true, that’s not true.’

He appeared to have injured his hamstring in the melee after he was pushed to the ground by Yarbrough, as he was seen hobbling across the public park.

Stefanovic’s wife Jasmine eventually steps in and grabs her distressed sister by the arm and drags her away.

Jasmine can be heard saying: ‘Get away with Karl, get away with Karl.’

As she is led away, Yarbrough can be heard crying as she turns to Clarke and howls: ‘I f**king hate you.’

Clarke then tries to follow Yarbrough before he unleashes a wave of fury at Stefanovic, seemingly because he is walking away with the two sisters.

‘Karlos, I can tell you now c**t, don’t you f**king walk away. She can, she can punch me, but you, you c**t,’ Clarke says.

This comment sparks fury from Yarbrough, who defends her brother-in-law before slapping Clarke repeatedly in the face.

‘You piece of s**t, don’t you f**king speak to him,’ she yells.

Stefanovic and Bell can be heard telling the couple to stop, which falls on deaf ears.

‘Go, hit me hit me … do it again, you’re wrong, you’re f**king wrong,’ Clarke tells his girlfriend.

Yarbrough screams: ‘Oh am I wrong? You f**ked her on December 17, you f**ked her… you’re a f**king dog… I’m going to show her every f**king message you ever f**king sent me.’

She makes reference to a text she allegedly saw on Clarke’s phone inviting Edwards to come to India with him.

‘Oh yeah, “You’re the love of my life Pip, come to India,”‘ Yarbrough says, to which Clark replies: ‘Don’t ever talk to me again.’

‘Stop, Jade, stop,’ Jasmine pleads. Bell adds: ‘Let it go, Jade.’

The ugly altercation unfolded in front of young children nearby, according to stunned witnesses.

A remorseful Clarke has since taken full responsibility for what happened.

‘I’m absolutely gutted I’ve put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead-up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,’ he told The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday.

‘I am shattered that because of my actions I’ve drawn women of class and integrity, and my mates, into this situation.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted all other parties involved for comment.

Meanwhile, Edwards, 42, was having none of the drama, telling Daily Mail Australia: ‘This is not my circus. Yet again, Michael in his true nature has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to.’

Clarke’s relationship with his ex-partner Edwards began in June 2020, following his split from wife Kyly Clarke (née Boldy), which they announced four months earlier.

The former couple called it quits in December 2021.

The former Australian Test cricket captain was married to ex-model Kyly, 40, from 2012 until 2019, but the couple didn’t announce their separation until February 2020.

The Clarkes had kept their separation quiet for several months before she put out a statement on Instagram saying their priority was their daughter.

In a statement at the time, the pair said the ‘amicable’ decision to separate was ‘the best course’ for their daughter.
