McFly star Danny Jones has revealed he’s struggling through his pain as he recovers from knee surgery after tearing a ligament.

The singer, 36, had an operation last month to treat his torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), which is one of the key ligaments that help stabilize the knee joint.

Taking to his Instagram stories on Wednesday, Danny shared a snap of himself catching up on some sleep, remarking: ‘Night time is the worst at the minute.’

‘Just catching up on some lost beauty sleep here.’

Meanwhile, on Georgia’s original post with the same snap, she penned: ‘Someone had a rough night with his leg.’

He said: ‘Can’t sleep at the minute but that’s just the way it is at the minute

‘But managed to find something to do. Obviously I’m actually two days off my crutches, I’m really proud of that. I’m not sure if I’m meant to be off them yet but I am because it feels like I can walk, or at least try to walk.’
