Courteney Cox looks chilling in a new batch of posters promoting the latest installment of her hit horror franchise, Scream 6.

The Friends alum, 58, wields a dagger with a gloved hand as she casts a stone-cold expression towards the camera, her piercing blue eyes on display.

As she holds the knife, Ghostface’s screaming countenance can be seen in the reflection of the dagger.

The posters feature an array of Scream 6 stars, including Jenna OrtegaSamara Weaving and Hayden Panettiere, with one notable absence.

Neve Campbell, who played Sidney Prescott in all five of the previous Scream movies, quit the film franchise last year over a pay dispute.

The latest posters come following the release of a new trailer for Scream 6.

In the sneak peek, a new Ghostface character is seen stalking a group of people living in New York City, across the country from the franchise’s previous setting of Woodsboro, California.

The group are warned by Panettiere’s character Kirby Reed, ‘This isn’t like any other Ghostface.’

In another sequence in the trailer, Mindy Meeks-Martin (Brown) is seen making her way over a ladder placed between two upstairs apartments as Ghostface is behind her.

Ghostface is also seen on the New York subway in the ad, and stalking through bodegas in the Big Apple.

The preview clip ends when Tara Carpenter (Ortega) yells at the murderous monster, ‘C’mon motherf****r!’

Last month Cox told Entertainment Weekly that ‘bringing Ghostface to New York adds an entirely new element to the story.’

The latest film comes after Neve announced her departure from the franchise.

When announcing her exit from the beloved series, Neve hinted the salary she was offered for the sixth film did not equate to the ‘value’ she brought to the horror films.

During a subsequent interview with People, she reiterated her departure was solely due to not being paid the amount of money she felt she deserved for her contribution.

‘I did not feel that what I was being offered equated to the value that I bring to this franchise, and have brought to this franchise, for 25 years,’ she told the publication.

‘And as a woman in this business, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued.’

Neve emphasized she felt she was lowballed due to gender inequality: ‘I honestly don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise over 25 years, that the number that I was offered would be the number that would be offered to a man.’

‘And in my soul, I just couldn’t do that,’ she added while speaking openly with the news outlet.

‘I couldn’t walk on set feeling that — feeling undervalued and feeling the unfairness, or lack of fairness, around that.’

Scream 6 will land in theatres on March 10, 2023.
