Coronation Street’s Gemma Winter was spotted trying on wedding dresses for her forthcoming marriage to Chesney Brown.

In snaps of the cast filming the new scenes, it appears the bride-to-be was unable to make a decision on the dress she’s intending to wear.

She was joined by brother Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and mum Bernie (Jane Hazelgrove) while browsing in a bridal store.

Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) was seen wearing a white garment with silver trimmings, while her purple bra was on sow.

The actors were then spotted leaving the shop in large red ITV jackets after a long day of filming.

Gemma revealed earlier this year that she’d like to get married, which came as news to Chesney (Sam Aston).

The cost of living crisis has proved challenging for the couple, with things becoming even more complicated after Gemma received a high gas bill.

And desperate to support his cash-strapped sister Gemma, Paul takes out a loan to help pay her soaring bills.

Paul recently plunged himself into debt after deciding to sue Carla for negligence.

He is signed off work after injuring his hand during the car accident, and is convinced to seek thousands of pounds in compensation.

When Peter learns that Carla wasn’t insured to drive the van, he offers Paul the money to drop his claim, but he hesitates.

In the episodes, Paul is itching to get back to work at the yard despite injuring his hand, but Ed asks him to take it easy for now.

Paul is mildly concerned when he struggles to tie his bootlaces, but decides to cut down some panels using his left hand.

Seeing him narrowly avoid the saw’s spinning blade and risk yet another injury, Ed brusquely orders Paul to go home.

Paul then admits to Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) he was sent home from work and hasn’t felt right since the accident, and he is forced to tell Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) that he can’t help her out with her gas bill.

Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) regretfully tells Paul he can’t take him back on at the yard without the medical all-clear, and so Billy and Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) convince him to sue Carla for negligence.

Paul is devastated when Dr Gaddas tells him his hand  could take up to 12 weeks to heal, and so Gemma urges him to go after Carla (Alison King) for loss of earnings.

Having realised Carla wasn’t insured to drive the van, Peter (Chris Gascoyne) offers Paul £15,000 compensation but asks that in return he drops the case against Carla.

At first Paul accepts but on Dee-Dee’s advice he returns the £15,000, explaining he needs to wait until he’s had a full diagnosis.

Paul later hands Chesney a wad of cash, explaining he’s taken out a loan as he wants to help them and will be able to pay it back as soon as his compensation comes through.

Will Paul go through with his claim?

Carla had previously run over Paul when she got behind the wheel of the van while high on LSD.

The Underworld boss was unaware that she had been spiked by Stephen Reid, as revenge for undermining him in front of a client.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
