And now Alexandra Mardell has switched from being a soap star to the highlight of the ad break as she featured on an Aldi supermarket advert.
Voicing a talking sausage casserole, the 29-year-old actress hilariously shared the clip to her 125,000 Instagram followers to have a giggle at her latest gig.

Corrie star Alexandra, who first arrived on the Cobbles in 2018, worked with the supermarket chain as part of their latest ad campaign.
She used her Leeds accent to announce that the casserole she was playing was only £2.69.
As the camera pans to the piping hot casserole dish opens its lid, Alexandra goes: ‘Just £2.69!’.
Posting the advert to her fans, Alexandra wrote: ‘I am… Sausage Casserole!

It comes after Alexandra managed to bag the glitterball trophy on Strictly Come Dancing’s festive special.
The Coronation Street actress went head-to-head with stars such as Nicola Roberts, Larry Lamb, Rickie Haywood-Williams, Rosie Ramsey and George Webster for the festive episode.

Alexandra was dressed up for the occasion as she donned a reindeer ear headpiece and dramatic stage makeup to match, adding a chocolate brown costume.
Partner Kai certainly got into the spirit with a Santa Clause costume, completing the look with a faux grey beard and matching eyebrows and hair.
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas line-up also included professional dancers Nadiya Bychkova, Neil Jones, Amy Dowden, Luba Mushtuk and Giovanni Pernice.

Kicking off the festive show, the group performed a sensational routine to a festive medley of Let It Snow, The Nutcracker Suite anf Santa Claus is Coming To Town.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, the dance competition’s judging panel also returned with Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Motsi Mabuse all out in full force.
After each couple had performed, the quartet of judges each gave a score out of ten for the performance – which was combined with votes for the audience to produce a final result.

And after the votes were counted, it was revealed that Alexandra, who is best known for portraying the role of Emma Brooker in Coronation Street, had managed to bag the win with Kai.
‘I am so shocked, I cannot thank you enough. I’m so happy about that, I did that for you [Kai] as well, I can’t believe it,’ said an excitable Alexandra.
The festive special also marked the return of former judge Bruno Tonioli, who took to the stage to perform during the show.
