Inside fashion designer Collette Dinnigan’s Southern Highlands cottage as she purchases the home for $2.85million

Collette Dinnigan has purchased a property in the NSW Southern Highlands.

The fashion designer, 57, spent $2.85million on a three-bedroom cottage, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

The property sits on a 1.8 hectare block and has incredibles views of the Kangaroo Valley escarpment.

The home is set on a sheltered country road and its spacious kitchen features an AGA cooker.

The property also has a newly renovated studio and workshop. 

The purchase comes after the acclaimed fashion designer opened a homeware store in Mittagong to showcase her developing range of artisanal homewares.

Collette and her husband Bradley Cocks run a number of luxurious rental properties on the North and South coast, as well as Bowral in the Southern Highlands.

The renowned designer shocked the fashion world in 2013 when she pulled her Sydney, Melbourne and London stores.  

The South African born designer later revealed she made the decision to leave when her work began to take a toll on her personal life.

The star wanted to spend more time with her husband Bradley and her two children, Hunter, six, and Estella, 15.

She previously spoke to Daily Mail Australia about the major life change, and how it has altered her home life for the better.

‘You can’t do nine to five in fashion,’ she revealed. ‘It’s all encompassing. But I can control it now. I’m able to spend school holidays with my family rather than having to be in Paris for shows.’
