Adding further glamour to the look, the son of TV legend and Today show entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins added a pair of semi-sheer black gloves which were pulled up past his elbows.

Christian, who’s become known for his incredible style on the red carpet, styled out the look with a moonstone necklaces and statement headpiece.

Pulling his long blonde tresses back into a slick low bun, Christian placed a huge diamante circular piece on his head that jetted out with springs that went past his waist and was finished off with feather endings.

Keeping up the glamour from head to toe, Christian added sparkling glitter eye shadow to his face and eyebrows as he pouted in front of cameras.

He took the theme very seriously, wearing a pair of Maison Margiela famous Tabi shoes, which feature a split toe that appears to resemble a hoof.

Christian, who is ambassador for Victoria Racing Club, recently praised the VRC for taking a step in the right direction by allowing guests to drop strict gender-bound rules and ‘express themselves’ how they want.

Speaking to news.com.au ahead of the Melbourne Cup this week he said that he identifies as male, but sees all gender as ‘non-binary’.

‘I feel like [the cup carnival] was so guided by these very strict, gender-bound rules and to break that open and just allow people to express themselves how they want to be, that’s such a key ethos that I live my life by,’ he told the outlet.

The country’s biggest stars will enjoy the likes of roaming oyster shuckers, an affogato hour and even a pop-up KOI dessert bar away from the betting masses.

The Birdcage will feature a ‘Paradiso theme’, with organisers claiming it will transport guests into a social wonderland.

Among the luxury brands inside the tent will be G.H. Mumm, the official champagne sponsor of the event, as well as Lexus.

Christian was also pictured with beauty queen Olivia Molly Rogers, who appeared to be bouncing back from the breakup with husband-of-seven-months Justin McKeone.

The former Miss World Australia looked simply sensational in a traditional black and white ensemble as she posed for pictures while making her way to the exclusive Birdcage enclosure.

She teamed the Eighties-inspired ensemble with on-trend black platforms patent peep-toe heels and a matching black hat.

A black choker and a dainty pearl handbag and matching earrings completed the outfit.
