The footage was recorded on February 25, 2022, but Chloe did not publicly address the incident until Monday.

The footage, which Chloe posted on Instagram, shows one figure breaking into her luxury car, while the other opens the front gate before fleeing on foot.

A shirtless Mitch is then seen running down the driveway shouting at the robber as he frantically attempts to stop them driving away.

Rather than fleeing the scene, the brazen criminal tries to mow down Mitch with the vehicle, then crashes into the family’s outdoor trampoline.

Chloe told her followers the couple was so disturbed by the incident they packed up their belongings and moved to a hotel that night.

‘We got broken into at 3am one morning when we were all upstairs,’ Chloe explained.

‘The footage gives me legit trauma because I was upstairs screaming, while I didn’t know what was happening downstairs.’

Mitch had gone downstairs and ‘caught them in our house’, the YouTuber said, before describing the confrontation her boyfriend had with ‘a guy’ in her car.

‘They got my keys and tried to steal my car, while Mitch’s car was in the driveway so they couldn’t get out,’ Chloe said.

‘It was basically Mitch and this guy going head to head in the front yard… the guy tried to run Mitch over with my car multiple times.

‘I thought Mitch was legit going to be dead on the driveway.’

Awful: 'This is the third time in 2022 we got broken into, but this time it was really traumatic for the entire family,' the young mother said

Chloe said she learned the value of safety that night, especially after having her son in the house as it was all happening.

‘You go into some crazy mode of survival and fight when someone is in your house and you have a young [one] to protect,’ she said.

Chloe said her house’s location had been posted ‘everywhere’ since they moved in, and the incident was a lesson in prioritising privacy.

She and Mitch haven’t returned to their property since the attempted invasion, and have hired other people to move their belongings ‘so we didn’t have to face it again’.

They have moved into an apartment after spending a few months in a hotel after the invasion.

Chloe and Mitch had previously left fans confused when they suddenly sold their home in February, after living there for just 12 months.

The pair had completed extensive renovations to the Broadwater mansion and pocketed a cool $900,000 profit selling it three weeks before auction.

At the time, Mitch told Realestate.com.au the couple was selling to take advantage of the booming property market on the Gold Coast.

But on Monday, Chloe confirmed the real reason for selling was the break-in.

Selling agent Mitch Lambert said in February their property on Monaco Street had attracted 50 enquiries in the first 24 hours of it being listed.

Mr Lambert said the popularity of the home stemmed from the celebrity profile of the sellers, the Hamptons-style design and the fact it’s on a ‘brand-name street’.

The two-storey house has five bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, four bathrooms, six toilets and a stylish home cinema.

There is also a large balcony off the upstairs master suite, while another bedroom boasts views of the nearby park and skyline.
