Horror as a man is carjacked at gunpoint in Sydney by two strangers – with a gun pulled out when he refused to get out of his car

  • Two men approached his Mazda 3 sedan and demanded he get out on Tuesday
  • Police say when driver refused, one of the men produced a firearm towards him

A young man has been left terrified after two strangers armed with a gun stole his car in a violent carjacking in Sydney‘s southwest. 

The 29-year-old man had been driving on Prairie Vale Road in Bossley Park when he came to a stop to turn left at about 11:30pm on Tuesday night. 

The two men descended on the Mazda 3 sedan and demanded the driver get out. 

Police will allege when he refused, one of the men pulled out a gun. 

The men jumped in the Mazda and drove away, forcing the terrified driver to flag down another vehicle and call police.

One of the men has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 170-175cm tall, thin build, brown short hair, and wearing an earring.

The second man is also Caucasian and 170-175cm tall with a slim build.

Investigators from the Fairfield City Police Command have urged anyone who may have dashcam footage to contact police.
