Proud mother Carrie Johnson shared a behind-the-scenes snap of her six-month-old daughter Romy at the G7 summit, a week after the family joined the Prime Minister in Rwanda.

The intimate photograph, taken from behind, shows Carrie, 34, cradling her daughter as she looks out at the stunning German countryside

It was part of a slideshow of 10 images documenting Mrs Johnson’s G7 trip. One photograph shows the Prime Minister’s wife sharing a joke with US President Joe Biden

Another snap shows Carrie sipping an Aperol spritz with French First Lady Brigitte Macron; Britta Ernst, wife of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz; and Amelie Derbaudrenghien, partner of European Council President Charles Michel.

Romy’s world tour! It comes after Mrs Johnson shared a photograph of Romy in Rwanda, where they joined Mr Johnson on a three-day visit to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM)

The Johnsons have yet to share a clear photograph of their daughter’s face and have kept their son Wilfred, two, similarly shielded from the public eye.

It comes after Mrs Johnson shared a photograph of Romy in Rwanda, where they joined Mr Johnson on a three-day visit to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

She took to Instagram to share several images from her visit to Umusambi Village, a restored wetland area which provides sanctuary for over 50 endangered Grey Crowned Cranes, including one of her and Romy.

It is not known if Wilfred joined his parents and sisters but he has not appeared in any photographs.

The world leaders’ partners have put on a convivial display during the three-day G7 summit, smiling as they came together for al fresco meals and cross-country walks in the Bavarian Alps.

Mrs Johnson appears to be particularly close with Mrs Macron, the glamorous 69-year-old wife of President Emmanuel Macron, 44.

Taking a break: After meeting young athletes at an engagement on Monday morning, the world leaders’ partners stopped at Elmauer Alm Mountain Restaurant, near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany

Dining al fresco! On Sunday, the G7 leaders’ partners enjoyed an al fresco lunch with former World Cup alpine ski racer Christian Neureuther (third from left) and Miriam Neureuther (far right). Pictured left to right: Amelie Derbaudrenghien, Brigitte Macron, Carrie Johnson and Britta Ernst

Yesterday, the partners continued their itinerary with a visit to meet a group of junior biathletes in training for the Olympics.

Brigitte was typically glamorous in a powder blue suit and put a stylish twist on the ensemble by adding a pair of white trainers. As the weather warmed up, Mrs Macron removed her jacket to reveal an elegant crossover blouse.

Mrs Johnson opted for a more low-key look, stepping out in a classic white blouse and black straight-leg trousers combo.

The mother-of-two finished the ensemble with simple nude pumps and wore her blonde locks swept over one shoulder in voluminous curls.

She and Mrs Macron greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek, a warm greeting that reflected their husbands’ show of unity.

Today Mr Johnson will join other Nato leaders in Madrid for a summit at which they are expected to agree the biggest overhaul of the Western military alliance since the end of the Cold War.

A kiss for Carrie! Brigitte Macron gave Mrs Johnson a warm hello as the women joined other G7 spouses at an event with young German athletes on Monday. It comes as their husbands put on a show of unity at the international summit
