Boxer and SAS Australia star Ebanie Bridges says critics ‘can’t see past her boobs’

Australian boxer Ebanie Bridges has admitted that she’s often underestimated in the ring because of the way she looks. 

The 35-year-old buxom blonde bombshell said on Tuesday that her critics ‘can’t get past the boobs’ and are often surprised at her fighting ability. 

Bridges made the comment when hitting back at a Twitter user who said they were surprised at how well she fights, after she became the IBF bantamweight world champion by beating rival Maria Cecilia Roman.

‘Was completely wrong about Ebanie Bridges, far better than I thought she was,’ one punter wrote on Twitter alongside footage of Ebanie in the ring. 

Bridges had a cheeky reply, writing: ‘You musta been distracted by my boobs and couldn’t see the skill.’

‘Don’t worry your not alone, lots of haters out there can’t get past the boobs… Glad you can see you was wrong,’ adding a wink face emoji.

Bridges won the match against Roman last month in Leeds, in the UK. 

After the fight, she reflected on her sporting career and told haters ‘f**k you’.

‘This belt represents everything, all the heartbreak, the sacrifice, all the training, everything,’ she said. 

She added: ‘Firstly, I just want to say, can I f**king fight or what?’

She finished: ‘I can box, I can fight, and I can look hot on the scales. So hopefully I proved a lot of doubters (wrong).’

Bridges, who has been nicknamed the Blonde Bomber, hails from Toongabbie in Sydney’s West. 

She’s trained in Karate, kickboxing and Muay Thai.

Bridges also completed a stint on the grueling military-style show, SAS Australia, earlier this year, alongside the likes of Anna Heinrich, Barry Hall and Locky Gilbert.
