Two missing bushwalkers have been found safe and well after they disappeared almost a week ago.

Alfred Zawadzki, 69, and Klaus Umland, 81, set out on a walk from a campground in Megalong Valley in the Blue Mountains, NSW, on Wednesday.

They had planned to return to the site on Friday but failed to show up with their absence raising the alarm.

A search was launched to find the pair with concerns growing for their welfare.

The duo were then found near Mobbs Swamp at about 1am on Tuesday.

Both men are being escorted out of the bushland with police saying they are in good health.

They were expected to return to Dunphy’s campground at about 6.45am.

Neither of the men have suffered injuries but will they will be assessed by paramedics out of precaution.
