Billie Eilish reveals making sunlight a priority on European leg of tour during talk show visit

Billie Eilish revealed during a talk show appearance in London on Monday that she’s made getting some sun a priority during the European leg of her current tour.

The 20-year-old pop star was a guest on The Late Late Show With James Corden filmed in the host’s hometown after she performed over the weekend at the Glastonbury Festival on Friday followed by two sold-out shows at the O2 Arena.

James, 43, thanked Billie for visiting his show specially filmed on London on her day off from touring.

‘Do you get to do any sight-seeing when you travel with your family?, James asked.

‘You know, we’ve made it such a priority actually, back before COVID when I was touring, doing crazy like amounts and press all day and this and that. I would like not see sunlight for like days and days,’ Billie said.

‘Because it’s super easy. You go to sleep on the bus at night in a basement of a venue, you drive all night long, you wake up in another basement. …It really gets you. Even a couple of months ago, I didn’t see sunlight for three days,’ she added.

‘And so for this tour, this European run we’re on right now that’s almost over, which has been so amazing and beautiful. We’ve made it like a huge deal to prioritize going out and seeing sunlight, and like getting food and going to the park. We play Frisbee in the park like most days. So, it’s good, it’s good,’ Billie said.

James also noted that Billie played her first ever headline show five years ago at The Courtyard Theatre in London that holds 130 people.

Billie recalled pulling up to the venue and meeting a girl who turned out to be the first person ever to stand in line to meet her.

‘And I gave her the biggest hug and I took a picture with her and I like held her and she was so sweet and it was really magical,’ Billie said.

‘And I remember the crowd of 100 and something singing along to Ocean Eyes and I swelled up and I got all just …It was amazing,’ Billie said.

Billie earlier played a game of Spill The Tea with James in which they had to either answer personal questions or eat something gross instead.

James asked Billie to name the worst famous person she ever had to interact with or take a bite from a ‘festering finger sandwich’ oozing with marmite, crumbled Oreos, pickles and marinated in red cabbage juice.

Billie chose to bite into the sandwich and promptly vomited.

James said he couldn’t disclose the amount because his father was in the audience and he would kill him if he knew.

He also had to ingest a disgusting murky milk tea after declining to share his last three texts from his friend Harry Styles, 28.

Billie is scheduled to perform on Tuesday in Antwerp, Belgium as part of her Happier Than Ever, The World Tour that launched in February in New Orleans.
