‘The weight of the game was there at all times… the intensity of it just grew to the point that, for me, it became undoable, and unbearable,’ Dave said.
‘I was challenged and then ended up wanting to get the hell out of the house.’Â
He added that he wanted to make sure his close friend Reggie was taken care of and that she remained on the show.Â

‘It was my time to go, and it was a great way to go leaving two incredible housemates on the eviction chairs and being able to get out and know that Reggie’s safe and secure,’ he said. Â
‘Farmer Dave’ sensationally voted himself out of the game on Monday, telling Big Brother he would rather quit than compete against Reggie and Estelle.
‘[I’m voting for someone who] is getting really tired and I don’t think is able to play the game the way it needs to be played,’ he said in the diary room.

He continued: ‘I think when I see the three people at the finish, this person’s definitely not going to be one of them.
‘So I think it’s best to get this person evicted now rather than later, and for that reason, I nominate Dave… myself.’
Big Brother refused to accept the nomination at first, but he insisted he couldn’t bring himself to vote for Reggie or Estelle due to their close bond.

‘I tried to get in there and play the game, but it’s just not me – it’s not who I am,’ he admitted.
Dave was eventually given the boot from the house, and seemed grateful to be gone.
Big Brother continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven
