Beyonce has marked her return to showbusiness with an iconic British Vogue photoshoot, following a six-year musical hiatus.

The superstar, 40, who released her last album Lemonade in 2016, wore an incredible gold metal hooded dress which had a plunging neckline and showed off her incredible curves.

Sporting a short jagged fringe, she wore giant Saturn earrings as she sat in front of a red backdrop with the brief: ‘Beyonce turns up the heat.’

A second image sees Beyonce wearing leather and chunky platforms boots as she lay across a motorbike, while sporting black lipstick amid a smokey backdrop.

The mother-of-three then sat atop a horse for the cover image wearing a skintight black dress and giant headpiece.

He also gave an insight into what it was like visiting the family home: ‘I find myself truly en famille, sitting at Beyoncé’s dinner table on a Sunday night.

‘I’m a little stunned at how relaxed it all is…As a scrumptious dinner of ribs, cream corn, peas and mashed potatoes is served, I’m not sure the mood could be any cosier.

‘At this point, her ironclad devotion to professionalism and privacy is legendary and yet here she is at home with her hair loose, not a stitch of make-up on, wearing a hoodie, just being herself.”

‘”My earth, my heart, my soil and my sanity” is how she refers to her innermost unit, and a great deal of protection goes into allowing her to experience her pocket of the world as calmly as possible…This is a precious time in her life. Now 40, she’s feeling so good as a mother, an artist and a woman.’

Sharing the cover image on Twitter, Enninful wrote: ‘@Beyonce is poised for her next evolution, one that promises vision, grace – and something a little bit extra… In the July 2022 issue of British Vogue.’

Shot by Rafael Pavarotti, the image comes just hours after Beyonce announced she is finally releasing her highly-anticipated seventh studio album, Renaissance.

‘I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies.

Beyoncé added: ‘I have paid my dues and followed every rule for decades, so now I can break the rules that need to be broken. My wish for the future is to continue to do everything everyone thinks I can’t do.’
