Daniel Craig has revealed he would ‘love’ to star in a Marvel film following rumors the actor almost made an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The 007 actor was widely rumored to have been in talks to play Thor’s half-brother, Balder The Brave, in the box office flick, which starred the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olson.
When quizzed about the rumors during a chat with Happy Sad Confused’s Josh Horowitz at New York’s 92NY, the 54-year-old playfully teased: ‘I’ll take any job. If the hours are good, I’ll take it.’

Reacting further to claims he could still make an appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the James Bond star continued: ‘Sure, I would love to do a Marvel film… absolutely, definitely.’
Earlier this year, Marvel fans discovered that Asgardian warrior Balder The Brave was one of the many roles that got cut from the Doctor Strange sequel.
The character was reportedly set to have been a member of the Illuminati in the flick and, in October, concept artist Darrel Warren shared what the vision for the character looked like in an Instagram post which appeared to confirm speculation.
‘BALDER THE BRAVE | Shame this character went no further than this watercolour,’ he captioned the image which bore a striking resemblance to Craig. ‘Y’all know the story and if not just go and look it up online……’

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was centered on the superhero of the same name and followed him as he dealt with complications arising from casting a forbidden spell that opened a gateway to the multiverse.

In addition to Cumberbatch, the movie starred performers such as Elizabeth Olsen, 33, Chiwetel Ejiofor, 45, and Benedict Wong, 51.
Craig also spoke about his time as Bond, explaining that he had one main fear before his 15-year stint as 007.
‘It was on the pro and con list – that [the role] would change my life,’ he admitted. ‘I had a certain level of anonymity at the time, I could still go out and travel and walk through an airport – and I knew that would sort of disappear.
‘But it was also on the pro list, and it worked out for the best.’Â
The actor’s candid confessions came after audiences got the chance to see his upcoming film, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, at the special screening event held in 92NY on Monday night.
The premise of the new film is: ‘When a tech billionaire Miles Bron, played by Edward Norton, invites some of his nearest and dearest for a getaway on his private Greek island, it soon becomes clear that all is not perfect in paradise.’
The character hints that he will pretend to be murdered, but soon someone is really murdered, making the party much scarier.

Craig’s character Detective Blanc will then have a new mystery on his hands to solve.
The film features a stellar cast including Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, Janelle Monae, Kathryn Hahn, Dave Bautista, Jessica Henwick and Madelyn Cline.Â
The movie started playing at select theaters for a brief window on November 23 and will start streaming on Netflix on December 23.
