Another Australian business has copped backlash after they posted a video mocking actress Amber Heard‘s abuse claims to promote their products.
Bath Box, who sells bath bombs and other bathroom products, has since deleted a video where they use audio of Heard describing the abuse she alleges she faced while married to Johnny Depp during their highly-publicised defamation case.
In the clip, captioned ‘Have you ever been slapped in the face with a bath bomb?’ two Bath Box team members are shown acting out the scene that Heard describes in her testimony.
Australian business Bath Box has been slammed and forced to apologise for posting a video mocking Heard’s domestic abuse claims against her ex-husband Johnny Depp
In the clip, captioned ‘Have you ever been slapped in the face with a bath bomb?’ two Bath Box team members are shown acting out the scene that Heard describes in her testimony
‘I’m walking out of the bedroom, he slapped me across the face. I turned to look at him and I said ‘Johnny you hit me, you juts hit me,’ Heard says in the audio that was paired with upbeat music.
The two women mimic the scene and hit each other on the face with bath bombs.
Their ‘disgusting’ video was met with a barrage of angry comments from users slammed the business for ‘trying to profit off of domestic violence’.
‘This is disgusting use of a domestic violence victim’s legal testimony. Who thought this was a good idea?’ one viewer wrote.
‘It’s disgusting that you would mock survivors by using audio from a domestic abuse case to be ‘funny’ and promote your product. You should be ashamed,’ said another.
‘This is despicable. I hope you seriously rethink this as a way of selling. What a gross thing to do,’ a third added.
A spokesperson from Bath Box issued an apology to 7NEWS.com.au saying the company is implementing stricter measure in place to ensure similar incidents won’t happen again.
‘At Bath Box we DO NOT condone domestic violence and DO NOT think that domestic violence is a laughing matter,’ they said.
‘Our deepest and sincerest apologies go out to anyone who has been or will be offended by the social media post.’
The controversy comes after Sydney bakery Dessert Boxes received death threats over their ‘tone deaf’ video mocking the scorned actress.
They posted a now-viral video to TikTok claiming it will be sending a box to Heard containing a donut in the shape of a hand with its middle finger up and a bottle of vodka.
Sydney bakery Dessert box also came under fire and even received death threats after going viral on TikTok for poking fun at Heard in a move viewers called ‘sick’ and ‘tone deaf’
‘We’ll cut off the finger with a vodka bottle, throw that in for her, too,’ the anonymous voice said in the video which has amassed more than 639,300 views.
The video was referencing Depp’s claim his ex-wife sliced the tip of his finger off with a broken vodka bottle during the pair’s controversial trial.
While some found the video which was captioned ‘Will she like it?’ funny, it was met with a barrage of angry comments calling the prank ‘tone deaf’ and ‘sick’.
‘This is disgusting. I hope they shut your store down,’ one commenter savagely said.
‘Taunting a rape victim huh. You’re like 60, use what energy you do have in writing out your will, sweetie,’ another wrote.
‘This joke is about as tasteless as that dessert looks,’ said a third while another commented: ‘POV: how to go out of business’.
Mansour Shukoor who is on the Dessert Box marketing team, said since the video went viral, they have been bombarded with responses from furious ‘trolls’.
‘A lot of people were against it and were very, very upset about it. We’ve received death threats and a lot of emails, ‘ he said.

Mansour and the Dessert box team are staunchly ‘Team Johnny’ and said they won’t be taking the video down despite the strong backlash.
‘We don’t believe people’s anger and negative reactions should dictate what we post,’ he said.
‘We post what’s in line with our company’s morals and ethics – we posted it because its something we believe in.’
The drama has not deterred Dessert Box from posting more videos in support of Johnny Depp including one joking about creating a GoFundMe ‘so Amber Heard’s lawyers can go to school’ and another showing the ‘shrine’ they erected for Depp’s attorney, Camille Vasquez.
