Political guru claims Labor has ALREADY won the election boasting ‘we’re home’ at 7pm – but is he getting a little ahead of himself?
An ex-minister and Labor powerbroker has made a stunning election call hours before all votes are counted declaring that Anthony Albanese will be the next Prime Minister.
Graham ‘Richo’ Richardson said the ‘same picture ‘ is playing out everywhere across Australia and that it’s time for Labor to ‘crack the champagne’.
But experts warn that there is still a long way to go and that his bold prediction could end up looking foolish.
‘We’re home,’ he said on Sky news just before 7pm. ‘Let’s crack the champagne.’
His boastful confidence stems from early swings towards the Labor Party in the safe Liberal-held seats of Reid and Bennelong.
