The news broke on Friday that Lisa Marie had died at the age of 54, hours after she suffered a cardiac arrest at her home in Calabasas, California.

She had been rushed to a hospital in critical condition and was said to be in a coma following a ‘full cardiac arrest’ shortly after she had been complaining about stomach pains, according to TMZ.

Priscilla, who was at her daughter’s side, said in a statement: ‘It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.

‘She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss.

‘Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment,’ the statement continued.

Sources told TMZ that Lisa Marie was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her housekeeper and that her ex-husband, Danny Keough, who she has been living with, performed CPR until paramedics arrived at the house.
