Ashley Roberts transforms into Sandy from Grease for Global’s Make Some Noise

She knows how to turn on the glamour for the red carpets and star-studded events.

But on Friday, Ashley Roberts took inspiration from the Grease icon Sandy Olsson as she channelled the iconic character for Global’s Make Some Noise Day.

The singer, 41, who was seen arriving at Global’s Studios to record Heart’s Breakfast Show, channelled Olivia Newton-John‘s portrayal of the 1950s teen with skintight leather trousers and a blonde curly wig.

Donning a wild blonde curly wig, covering her typically straight locks and fringe, Ashley wore a bold red lip to really hone in on the look of the film icon.

She wore an over-the-shoulder slim black long-sleeved bodysuit and tight leather trousers.

The Pussycat Dolls singer matched her red lip with a pair of striking red court heels with a pointed toe.

Ashley was joined by Myleene Klass and Kate Garraway at Global Studios – as part of the fundraising activities taking place on air.

She shared a snap to her 701,000 Instagram followers while wearing the fancy dress, captioning the mirror selfie: ‘Tell me about it stud’.

This will be Global’s ninth Make Some Noise Day, which takes place annually to raise funds and awareness for small charities across the UK. 

Presenters from Global’s radio brands Heart, Capital, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital Dance, Capital XTRA and Gold raise much-needed funds for 100 charities in local communities across the UK who work tirelessly to provide support for people living with mental and physical health issues, debt, homelessness, and hunger.

Heart Radio host and TV presenter Mark Wright also took inspiration from Grease, matching Ashley’s look by transforming into Danny Zuko..

The former TOWIE star donned a black leather jacket, simple white t-shirt and black denim jeans.

He completed the look with his hair by slicking it back – while leaving a little tuft swinging across his forehead just like Danny in the 70’s movie.

Earlier in the day, Heart Breakfast’s Amanda Holden completed her monumental ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ and climbed the highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland – Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis – within 24 hours.

TV and radio star Amanda packed all the essentials as she prepared to climb the mountains, joking that she had packed her ‘lip gloss, stilettos and lashes’ as she posed at the base of Snowdon in Wales where her first climb is getting underway.
