Bank robbery suspect is hauled out in cuffs by armed SWAT team after ‘taking multiple hostages’ in botched raid on Wells Fargo in Arlington

- Police say the man robbed the bank shortly after 3pm
- A hostage negotiator has now been brought in
Just one day after an armed gunman opened fire at a bank in Kentucky, another armed suspect has been arrested after holding multiple people hostage at a bank in Virginia.
A SWAT team was caught on camera hauling the suspect out of the Wells Fargo on Washington Boulevard in Arlington just after 4pm after safely evacuating an unknown number of hostages.
Officials have said the bank was robbed shortly after 3pm, authorities say, but the suspect — a man in his 20s — remained inside the bank.
He is said to have entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect then barricaded himself inside the bank with multiple patrons and employees.
Police soon swarmed the Wells Fargo, and just after 4pm, armed police officers were seen approaching the building.
