Angela Griffin enjoyed a night out with her daughter Melissa, 15, in London on Monday. 

The Waterloo Road actress, 46, attended the special gala screening of I Wanna Dance With Somebody at the Ham Yard Hotel.

Angela turned heads in a flowing teal green dress a the star-studded viewing of the Whitney Houston biopic.

Her dress featured an eye-catching black star print and a ruched top. 

The star, who is married to actor Jason Milligan, teamed the look with sparkling boots and pulled her dark blonde locks back and off her face. 

Her makeup was complete with a bright red lip and a winged eye. 

Melissa, 15, kept things casual in a pair of black trousers, boots and a pullover navy jumper. 

Also attending the screening were the likes of Michelle Heaton and Paige Thorne.

Also at the event was actress Naomi Ackie, 30, who plays late singer Whitney Huston in the much anticipated biopic. 

The British star commanded attention in a silky metallic gown with boasted a fashion-forward hood as well as a thigh-high split.

She flashed a glimpse of her long toned pins and styled her dark tresses into an extra long braid that tumbled down past her shoulders.

Naomi beamed as she took her moment in the spotlight and posed alongside co-star Stanley Tucci, 62, who plays record producer Clive Davis in the movie.

Earlier this month, she opened up about the difficulties of getting into her role in the biopic. 

The actress – who will portray the late music icon on screen – admitted she nearly closed the gap in her teeth permanently to closer her likeness to the star.

Appearing on Lorraine she admitted: ‘Part of my fear going into the role was that I don’t look anything like her.

‘But they just said to me: “look – you just concentrate on her essence and we’ll sort everything else out”‘. 

Naomi, who has a Madonna-esque gap between her two front teeth, added: ‘When I was getting the costume put on I was like “But I’ve got a gap!”

‘In preparation time for the role I was just like “I’m going to close my gap permanently.

‘Luckily Sony and my team and the producers were just like “you’re insane, you’re not doing that, we’ll just give you fake ones” and I was like oh ok. That works too…’
