‘We are very much in hibernation mode and fairly sure I won’t be awake at midnight… In my 34th week now… eek!! It’s flying.Â
‘Cannot wait to meet you baby girl (but WILL wait another few weeks, so you can please stay just where you are for now!).
‘Still feel like I have so much preparation to do and all I want to do is sleep and eat. Wish you all the love, luck and happiness in the world for ’23.’
Doting mother: The soap star gave birth to her first child, daughter Isla (pictured last week), in March 2020, during the first coronavirus lockdown
The soap star gave birth to her first child, daughter Isla, in March 2020, during the first coronavirus lockdown, after tying the knot with her partner, West End actor David O’Mahony, in 2019.Â
The couple married in an intimate ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London, before Ali opted to jump back into work following their honeymoon in the Maldives. Â
The actress detailed her battle with sleep deprivation while admitting her worries as the two-year-old gears up to start pre-school.

Ali told MailOnline in an exclusive interview:Â ‘I feel OK actually. I’d say it goes a lot faster the second time around because you’re so in the thick of it. Isla’s two-and-a-half so I’m running around after a wild toddler.
‘And now heavily pregnant with number two so there are a lot of distractions. Yeah, it’s just flying by. I think it’s not gonna be too long before she’s with us. It’s exciting.
‘Well, they say every pregnancy is different, but this has actually really been very similar, so far, to my pregnancy with Isla.
‘All of my pregnancy symptoms and things have felt really familiar. I do get some peculiar symptoms and when they come on, I’m like “Ohh, OK, I know this now and I know it’ll pass”.’
Ali explained she’s constantly reminding herself her experience will be ‘different this time because we’re not in the middle of a global pandemic’.Â
Bumping along: Ali previously revealed her second pregnancy was ‘flying by’ because she had been kept busy by her ‘wild’ toddler IslaÂ
She said: ‘It will probably have its own challenges as well with parenthood and sleepless nights and I’d say I definitely struggle with the sleep deprivation and that certainly contributed to not feeling great at times.
Ali announced her second pregnancy in an OK! magazine shoot alongside her husband and daughter in September 2022.
In an interview with the publication, Ali revealed how she told Isla the exciting news: ‘Isla came into our room one morning and we were having snuggles. I said to David over her head, “I think we should tell her now” and he agreed.
‘I said, “Have you noticed that mummy’s tummy has been getting bigger?” and she said “Yes!” I said, ”I’ve got a baby in my tummy.” And then there was this big smile across her face.
‘I wish we had captured that, it was magical, I’ll never forget it. She understood. I said, “You are going to be a big sister” and her face lit up.’
