Fashion designer Alex Perry, 59, reveals his shock new look as friends say he’s now ‘bigger than The Rock’

Fashion designer Alex Perry has unveiled a complete body transformation. 

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the 59-year-old style guru left his celebrity friends gobsmacked when he showed off his extremely muscular physique at the gym.

Alex accentuated his broad shoulders, muscular chest and bulging biceps in a black singlet and snug blue workout shorts while working up a sweat at lunchtime.

The designer, whose dresses have been seen on Lisa Rinna and Hailey Bieber, also showed off his very youthful visage and full pout while wearing a black trucker cap.

‘Lunchtime workout at the legendary City Gym!!!’ Alex captioned the post, leading to many of his celebrity pals commenting on his remarkably buff frame.

TV presenter Shelly Horton wrote: ‘Holy s**tballs Alex, you’re bigger than The Rock! Amazing work.’

Retired NRL star Sam Burgess commented with ‘rig city’, while celebrity makeup artist Max May wrote ‘beast mode on’ alongside three flame emojis.

Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter simply posted a shocked face emoji, alongside PT to the stars Jono Castano who responded with a flame emoji. 

Alex previously revealed in an interview with SBS his motivation for training hard. 

‘Going to the gym and working out just keeps me in peak physical and mental condition for whatever I’m faced with in the fashion industry,’ he said.

‘After the initial year of going to the gym, I grew to hate it and I had to drag myself there, but I really enjoy it now. It makes me less stressed and then I can go home and feel normal.’ 

The star is certainly no stranger to playing with his aesthetic. He previously admitted to getting cosmetic injectables to enhance his appearance.    

Alex, whose celebrity fans include Rihanna and Kim Kardashian, told Yahoo Lifestyle in 2013 that he is not ashamed of using fillers and Botox.

‘There is nothing not real, there are a few fillers and there is a bit of Botox but that’s that. That’s normal, right?… It’s all real. It’s all real,’ he said.

In 2016, the Australia’s Next Top Model judge was criticised for his appearance by one of the show’s contestants, Kassidy Ure.
