Girl, 16, leaves a man fighting for life after allegedly stabbing him during late night Christmas horror with cops revealing the pair are ‘known to each other’

  • A man, 55, was allegedly found with stab wounds at a north Adelaide home 
  • Police were called to a home on Petherton Road, Andrews Farm, about 2.50am 
  • A 16-year-old girl from the home was arrested and is expected to be charged  

A man is fighting for life after allegedly being stabbed by a teenage girl during a late night Christmas incident in northern Adelaide. 

Police were called to a home on Petherton Road, in Andrews Farm, just after 2.50am on Monday, Boxing Day, to reports of a domestic assault. 

Officers arrived and allegedly found a man, 55, from the home suffering from stab wounds. 

The man was rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

South Australia Police said the general public did not need to worry, confirming the teenage girl and the man were known to each other. 

A 16-year-old girl from the home was arrested at the scene.

She is currently being spoken to by police and is expected to be charged later on Monday.
