A major international star is set to replace Keith Urban on The Voice Australia – and they might just be the biggest name the show has ever had

Channel Seven has confirmed a major international musician is set to replace Keith Urban on the upcoming season of The Voice Australia.

Speaking at the Seven Upfronts on Tuesday, host Sonia Kruger revealed the 2023 season will see a household name join the panel of coaches.

While the 57-year-old didn’t give any clues as to who will be joining the competition next year, she indicated it will be a ‘big star’.

It comes after Keith revealed he’d decided to put his family first by scaling back his work commitments.

‘I actually don’t think of it as the end of a chapter at all because I love doing the show,’ he told The Sunday Telegraph earlier this month.

‘I love the fact that those last two seasons happened and were able to happen for me because I had a blast doing it. I feel very close to everybody on the set and hopefully the door can stay open because I would jump back in a heartbeat.

‘Much like The Voice in America has x amount of coaches come and go depending what their schedules are, I would love to hope that The Voice might afford me that opportunity as well.’

He said he was trying to balance his schedule with wife Nicole Kidman so they could take their children to visit their grandparents and extended family for the holidays.

Keith will start his tour of Australia on December 1 at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
