Glenbrook Portal Lookout: Person falls off a cliff in the Blue Mountains NSW, another injured

Person falls off a cliff in the Blue Mountains and another is injured as paramedics rush to the scene: ‘There’s something going on’

One person has fallen off a cliff in the Blue Mountains and a second person is injured with paramedics rushing to the scene. 

In a statement, NSW Ambulance said a rescue helicopter was en route to Portal Lookout at Glenbrook.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 8.25am on Tuesday.

Photos from the scene show emergency responders scaling down the cliff to reach the trapped patients.

The patients’ injuries are unknown.

No further details are currently available. 

2GB Radio’s Ray Hadley told his listeners that ‘there’s something going on here’. 

The latest incidents comes hours after the body of man who vanished while canyoning in the Blue Mountains was found.

The St Ives man, 39, was canyoning with a group at the Wollangambe River at Mount Wilson on Sunday afternoon when he disappeared.

His body was found the next morning.
