DisgracedĀ tennis ace Boris Becker has been slammed by creditors after he made a tongue in cheek TV commercial advertising replacement windows.

Three times Wimbledon winner Becker, 55, was released from jail last December after being convicted of hiding Ā£2.5 million worth of assets in a bankruptcy case.

In the advert – which will air this weekend on German TV – he is seen driving towards a luxurious villa in a Porsche and later throwing banknotes out of the building’s windows.

The 30 second commercial is for a German window firm called Fensterversand and will air during an ad break in a popular Saturday morning TV sports show.

With his tongue firmly in cheek, Becker tells viewers not to ‘throw your money out of the window’ as he highlights the options available with Fensterversand.

It is not known how much he was paid for the commercial but the twice married sportsman said the advert also had a moral message for his fans.

He explained: ‘Money is and was important to me but the advert is of course satire and self irony.

‘It was important to me to make fun of myself and to recommend to the younger generation they do not imitate me.

‘Not throwing money out of the window is something we should all think about and that’s why I thought it was an exciting idea and accepted the offer.’

However Becker’s creditors have reacted angrily with one telling German media:’His time in prison was clearly too short. He lives in his own world and is hiding from reality.

‘Let’s hope he will use some of the money he is getting for this commercial to pay back the creditors he owes.’

Fensterversand founder Philip Neuffer said:’For us, he is not only one of the best German ambassadors, and the advert will reach our target groups perfectly with its charm and sympathetic self-mockery.’

The first part of his sentence was served at HMP Wandsworth which he described as a ‘shithole’ and where he was left fearing his life.

He was then transferred to Huntercombe Prison in Nuffield, Oxfordshire, where he was surrounded by ‘murderers, drug dealers and people smugglers’.

Becker – who first won Wimbledon as a teenager in 1985 – was said to be worth Ā£127 million when he was at the top of his career but said in a recent interview money ‘goes quick’ when you have a divorce.

He paid Ā£11 million to his first wife Barbara Feltus when they separated in 2002 and is currently embroiled in divorce negotiations with his second wife Lilly.

Becker was released in December after serving just under eight months and flew back to his native Germany where he now lives and earlier this year was involved in commentary for the Australian Open.

On Saturday he is due to take part in the Golden Swing Celebrity Golf Tournament on the Spanish island of Majorca where he once had a home.
