Moment Aston Villa Premier League star Leon Bailey ‘inhales laughing gas from balloon on video at 7am after partying all night’

- Nitrous oxide, or ‘laughing gas’, is extremely dangerous and can cause death
Aston Villa star Leon Bailey has filmed himself appearing to inhale ‘laughing gas’ after a night of partying.
Bailey, 25, who signed for Premier League club Aston Villa for a reported £25million in 2021, took the video from inside a car.
The Jamaica footballer is seen holding a giant balloon to his lips as he allegedly sucks in the potentially deadly nitrous oxide.
Bailey appeared to be singing to music from the front seat of a car as he looked into the camera and inhaled the contents of the balloon.
The video was allegedly taken the morning after his club Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park last Saturday following a night of partying. A time-stamp and location at the bottom of the video is said to have read: ‘Birmingham 7.19am’, The Sun reported.

Bailey was reportedly at a friend’s birthday party on the Saturday night following his 61st-minute substitution during last week’s Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park
The 25-year-old wore a black T-shirt and cap as he appeared to bop to music blasting from his car.
The Sun, who released the video, reported that Bailey had been at a friend’s birthday party on the Saturday night following his 61st-minute substitution during last week’s Premier League clash.
Inhaling nitrous oxide gas is legal, but due to its psychoactive effect, it is a crime to supply.
Sucking in the gas will make the user light-headed as it essentially slows the brain down. It is generally considered to have an effect of euphoria and calmness, as well as fits of giggles.
The effects generally last a couple of minutes but inhaling too much can lead to suffocation due to a lack of oxygen.
Bailey signed for Aston Villa in 2021 as one of three high-profile signings the club made following the £100 million sale of their talisman Jack Grealish to Manchester City.
In reference to the acquisitions by the club, and Grealish’s previous alleged antics, one user on Twitter wrote: ‘When [Christian] Purslow said he had broken down all the attributes of Jack Grealish and found them in 3 players – Danny Ings, Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey – now we all know which attribute Leon Bailey is.’
Another user wrote: ‘Leon Bailey: laughter on *and* off the pitch.’

The Jamaican last year met the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge alongside Raheem Sterling and Jamaica’s bobsleigh stars in the island’s historic Trench Town, the birthplace of reggae music.

Bailey was inspired by Usain Bolt as a child growing up in Jamaica where he wanted to be a footballer or sprinter.
As a young child, he played for the Phoenix All Stars Academy in Kingston, which also doubled as a foster home. The academy coach Craig Butler adopted Bailey as one of 23 children.
Bailly has previously played for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany and Belgian club Genk.
His Aston Villa side now welcomes Crystal Palace later today who sit just one spot below them in the table.
