Stephen Bear’s fiancée Jessica Smith, 24, is sticking by him despite Bear being jailed for 21 months

[ad_1]

Disgraced former reality star Stephen Bear‘s fiancée Jessica Smith, 24, has vowed to stand by him despite Bear being sentenced to 21 months in prison today for revenge porn against his ex, Love Island’s Georgia Harrison.

The disgraced Celebrity Big Brother contestant shared a sex tape of 28-year-old Ms Harrison on adult website OnlyFans and made £2,000 from it.

It had been captured on CCTV cameras in Bear’s garden on August 2, 2020, before being uploaded to the video subscription site and WhatsApp.

Ms Harrison, who has also appeared on The Only Way Is Essex, was devastated by the tape and a judge said she suffered ‘extensive humiliation and embarrassment’ at the hands of her perverted former lover.

Judge Christopher Morgan jailed Bear, 33, for 21 months and gave him a restraining order not to contact Ms Harrison. As Bear was led to the cells, the remorseless sex offender was heard saying: ‘Have a good evening, enjoy your weekends everyone.’

The reality star was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and will be subject to notification requirements for 10 years.

Despite his conviction and sentencing, Ms Smith has vowed to remain at Bear’s side ‘through thick and thin’ as she claimed he did not receive a ‘fair trial’.

She today posted a photo of her and the convicted sex-offender on her social media accounts, writing on Twitter: ‘Through thick and thin my love. I’ll see you soon.’

She also shared a video of Bear outside court prior to sentencing, writing: ‘I love you. I’ll always be by your side, stay strong babe.

‘The truth will come out… you never had a fair trial.’

During the video, Bear claimed he had not been given a fair trial and made allegations against jurors.

He continued: ‘The only good thing that’s come from this whole situatoin is that I got a psychiatric report written about me, and told me that I’ve been diagnosed with ADHD, depression and anxiety, so hopefully I can get some treatment and some help.’

He added he wants to share ‘my side of the story’ in order to ‘give a different opinion on me and hopefully we can spin the narrative.’

A ‘relieved’ Georgia says her nightmare is finally over as pervert Stephen Bear is jailed

Georgia Harrison has told of her relief at Stephen Bear’s prison sentence and said she now feels ‘vindicated’.

‘Today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through and sends a clear message that the police and the courts take this matter very seriously,’ she said in statement outside Chelmsford Crown Court today.

‘I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets in waiving my anonymity.

‘I hope that this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who’s been a victim of it gives them some sort of justice.’

Last December, Bear was found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court of voyeurism and of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.

Despite facing the possibility of a prison sentence, he appeared relaxed when he arrived at the court this morning with his current lover.

Ms Smith, who turned 24 last week according to her Instagram account, has her own OnlyFans where she posts explicit content, as well as appearing on Bear’s own – which will presumably now be on pause.

Bear proposed to her after he had been found guilty of revenge porn, during a whirlwind trip to Paris.

In a black coat and dark sunglasses, Bear waved and sang to journalists before posing for selfies with a fan. He moaned about being convicted, saying his trial was ‘not fair’.

The court had heard how Ms Harrison and Bear had consensual sex at his home in Loughton, Essex, but Ms Harrison had no idea they were being recorded.

Ms Harrison said when Bear showed her the footage, she told him ‘never to send’ it to anyone and ‘made it plain how upset she would be if he did’, Jacqueline Carey KC, prosecuting, had said.

The complainant said she saw Bear send the footage to someone on WhatsApp later that day, and later that year she was made aware that it was circulating online.

Ms Carey said Bear uploaded the sex tape ‘either himself or had it uploaded to OnlyFans and profited financially’.

Bear, who has appeared on MTV’s Ex On The Beach, denied all charges and claimed at trial he deleted the footage and had shared it with no one other than Ms Harrison.

Bear was arrested by police as he arrived in Heathrow. He has now been jailed for posting the sex tape of his former girlfriend on OnlyFans

Judge Morgan, sentencing Bear, said the shamed TV personality ‘wished to exploit the economic value of the recording’ of Bear and Ms Harrison having sex.

He said: ‘I’m sure that you recognised the enhanced economic value to you by having Georgia Harrison, a well-known reality TV and social media personality, in the video.

‘She would have been known and recognised by many people.’

After the sentencing, Ms Harrison told journalists she was ‘relieved’ it was now over.

‘Today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through and sends a clear message that the police and the courts take this matter very seriously,’ she added.

‘I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets in waiving my anonymity.

‘I hope that this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who’s been a victim of it gives them some sort of justice.’

Ms Harrison also said Bear’s perverted actions turned her from a ‘happy-go-lucky’ person to someone who suffers panic attacks.

The reality TV star suffered from so many attacks in the Christmas following the video’s release that she had been kept in hospital for most of the festive period.

She added: ‘It’s my worst nightmare that any photo that should have been kept private would go public.

‘When Stephen bear filmed me without telling me it affected how I trust people. When I first saw the screenshot I felt physically sick.’

Following the sentencing, Hannah von Dadelszen, deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS East of England praised the reality star for her courage and dignity.

‘I want to commend Georgia Harrison for the bravery and determination she has shown throughout this case,’ she said.

‘We want to encourage victims to come forward, safe in the knowledge they will have lifelong anonymity and can have special measures put in place when appearing in court, like giving evidence from behind a screen.’

Assistant Chief Constable Rachel Noland added: ‘This man thought he could treat women and girls like they were on a reality show. He thought he could commit appalling crimes in Essex and get away with it. He was wrong.’

‘You can’t try to shame and manipulate people to satisfy yourself. You can’t pretend that taking intimate videos and sharing them without consent is OK – it’s not. And if you try to get away with it in Essex, you won’t, regardless of who you are.

‘I want to thank Georgia Harrison, not only for your bravery but for her trust in our detectives. I’d also like to commend the investigating officer in this case, DC Brian Sitch who showed his determination to stand alongside Georgia Harrison to hold this man to account.

‘I am also calling on the organisations who were not in court today, to step up and take some responsibility for what has happened. A young woman has shown immense bravery in taking a stand publicly to try to protect other women and girls.

‘It is now time for the social media companies who make money from the appalling distress that sharing intimate videos causes, to reflect on their behaviour.

‘Let me be clear, misogyny and violence and intimidation against women and girls, in all its forms, is wrong – and it is for us all to stand up and stand together to stamp it out in our society.’

Bear arrived in Chelmsford to a media scrum, surrounded by television reporters, photographers and fans.

The pervert was grilled by one female journalist as he strolled towards court, who asked the sex offender: ‘Have you got nothing to say to Georgia Harrison?’

Stephen Bear’s Twitter account advertised his adult website during sex tape trial

Reality TV star Stephen Bear’s Twitter account posted a ‘50% off’ deal for his adult entertainment website alongside a photo of him arriving at court while he was on trial.

The 32-year-old stood trial at Chelmsford Crown Court accused of sharing a video online of him and his ex-girlfriend Georgia Harrison having sex.

The footage was captured on CCTV cameras in Bear’s garden in Loughton in Essex in 2020.

The prosecution said that 27-year-old Ms Harrison, who has waived her right to anonymity, did not know they were being recorded and asked Bear not to send the film to anyone.

Bear denied voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films, but today was found guilty of all three counts.

During the trial, a photo of him walking from a hired chauffeur-driven white Rolls Royce to the court building was uploaded to his Twitter account.

The accompanying text with the post said, in block capitals: ‘50% off my adult site for the next 24 hours. ‘Come see why I’m trending.’

It included a smiling purple devil emoji, and a link to his website.

In the photo, taken on the first day of his trial, Bear wore a pink suit, black fur jacket and sunglasses.

Bear’s Twitter account describes him as an ‘international playboy’ and ‘self-made billionaire’.

It was not the first time that the Ex On The Beach star’s social media account had made reference to the court case taking place.

Before the trial, a poll on Bear’s Twitter account asked his followers ‘What colour suit should I wear to court on Tuesday (December 6)?’

Most of the votes were for ‘pink’, and the account later posted a short video of Bear, apparently inside a vehicle and wearing the pink suit that he wore on the first day of his trial.

In the clip he gave a thumbs up, and text over the video said that ‘pink won the vote’. The post was captioned ‘keeping it low key’, with a smiling tongue out emoji, and a paw prints emoji.

Later in the trial, Bear’s account posted a different video clip of him arriving at court with a caption over the footage reading ‘Never give up’.

The defendant, who wore different outfits to court, was pictured in another post carrying a cane as he waited for his girlfriend Jessica Smith to exit a Rolls Royce outside court, with the caption reading ‘Every king needs a queen’.

His account retweeted a post from Ms Smith’s account reading ‘I’ll always be by your side, even if the whole world is against you’.

It also shared a post from another account, reacting to footage of him arriving at court carrying a cane, which said ‘absolute legendary outfit, dressed like a king’.

Essex Police said that in February 2022, Bear was seen to be discussing the court case on social media, ‘clearly breaching his court bail conditions’, so he was further arrested and later charged.

Placing an arm on her shoulder, he ignored the question and instead started to sing ‘Lady In Red’.

He had been due for sentencing on January 31 but the hearing was postponed by a month for a psychiatric report.

During his trial last year, Bear had moaned: ‘In my opinion from the very beginning it was never a fair trial, what the press said against me.

‘I was fighting a losing battle and it is what it is.’

Judge Morgan had told the defendant: ‘Thank you for that observation.’

Before today’s sentencing, the disgraced TV star released a compilation video on TikTok showing him with his current lover, Jessica Smith, saying ‘Brb, crying’.

The three-minute, 44-second clip showed Bear licking his 23-year-old lover’s face, kissing her in front of the Eiffel Tower and feeding her a chicken leg to the remixed tune of ‘Somewhere Only We Know’. They’re also shown pouting and going on holiday.

Bear’s sycophantic fans were last night championing him on TikTok, with one saying ‘I love you so much xxxx’ as another said ‘Beautiful, good luck’. A third added: ‘Good luck tomorrow.’

Bear, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2016, has consistently pleaded he was innocent of any crime.

During his trial, he told jurors he had deleted the sex tape and did not send it to others.

He previously told the jury he ‘thought it was funny’ the cameras had captured himself and Ms Harrison having sex.

‘We played it on the monitor screen,’ he said. ‘She asked for a copy of it. I said, “of course I will send you a copy”, it was 20 minutes long.’

Bear said Ms Harrison ‘told me to delete the footage, which I did’, adding: ‘Why would I want that on my phone?’

He claimed his intention that day ‘was to catch up with a friend – sex was a bonus and the footage was quite funny to watch back’.

He described Ms Harrison’s allegation that she saw him send the footage to someone on WhatsApp that evening as a ‘complete lie’.

During his police interview, Bear claimed Ms Harrison laughed about the sex video when he showed it to her in the garden and said he ‘put in a good performance’.

He told officers she shared it with her friends and told them: ‘I said ”f****** hell, babe, look at that, I’ve got it on camera’.’

‘It turned her on, she was horny, she just laughed about it, it’s funny.’

Bear made repeated claims that his Instagram account had been hacked but answered only ‘no comment’ when police asked him specific questions.

Ms Harrison’s mother and manager, Nicola Harrison, gave evidence during the trial and said her daughter was tearful and crying when she phoned her the day after being filmed.

She said Ms Harrison told her not to worry as Bear had promised he would delete the video.

The mother told jurors: ‘She said he sent the video to someone in front of her and she asked him to delete it. She thought it had reached the end of it – she said, “Don’t worry, he has deleted it”.’

‘She said people were contacting her and saying they had seen the video and some people contacted her from America. She said it must be online and it was not just people showing it.’

As her manager, Mrs Harrison had access to her daughter’s Instagram account and said that after a request for information her daughter posted in December 2020 she saw 20 replies, one of which sent her a screenshot of the video.

She said she went on to Bear’s OnlyFans page, paid $15 and saw the video but did not watch it, adding: ‘It is something I would never, ever want to see.’

When asked about footage being uploaded to OnlyFans, Bear told the court: ‘I don’t know of any video being uploaded.

‘All I know is a 20-minute video I had at the time. I don’t know of any other video that’s been uploaded.’

While awaiting trial, he posted a clip on the site, and on Twitter, depicting a sex act with his young girlfriend – and enthusiastic fellow porn star – Ms Smith.

She has been by his side during his trial, to which he has attended dressed in a variety of gaudy suits and coats, flourishing a gold or silver cane and posing outside puffing on a cigar.

Ms Smith has her own OnlyFans site, as well as around one million followers on Instagram.

The pair got together last year when Bear posted a call on Twitter for a girlfriend to ‘settle down with’.

Giving evidence, Bear had described himself as ‘like the jack-of-all trades’ who was a labourer and did roofing before doing some ‘TV work’.

He added: ‘Now I do a bit of adult entertainment because my TV work has been on hold for two years because of this case.’

Ms Harrison told the court she met Bear in 2012 and the two went on the reality show The Challenge in 2018, where they began a relationship.

She said: ‘We spent 24 hours a day together for six weeks and you could say it was casual but it was pretty intense as well.’

Describing how the relationship broke down, she said: ‘He slept with someone else in our hotel room and locked me out of it.’

Giving evidence during the trial at Chelmsford Crown Court, Ms Harrison said he also kissed one of her friends after a clothing event she held.

She said: ‘I heard he kissed my friend at his house but I got over that straight away. I had a lot of love for Stephen Bear when we were filming together but he is not someone I wanted a relationship with in the real world.

‘I was upset by the way he disrespected me and I had been there for him and he kissed another girl who was my friend. It was a bit embarrassing because it was my clothing launch.’

During her closing speech to the jury, Ms Carey had said Bear bragged from the witness stand about sleeping with Lauren Goodger and other models.

She said: ‘He broadcast their private sexual lives in open court and gave no thought to their privacy at all.

‘If it gets him fame, money, notoriety or trending on Twitter, he will say whatever he wants, he will do whatever he wants and distribute whatever he wants.

‘The prosecution are not asking you to convict Stephen Bear because he sleeps with women and doesn’t call them back. As ungentlemanly as it is, that is not what he is charged with.

‘He is not charged with being a self-obsessed show-off. The prosecution are asking you to convict him because the evidence proves he is guilty.’

The jurors had heard how Bear earned £40,000 from OnlyFans and more than £2,000 from the sex tape with Ms Harrison.

Ms Carey told the court that Bear upped his OnlyFans subscription price after it began to attract attention from people talking about the video online, increasing it from seven to 50 dollars before logging in 90 minutes later to reduce it to 20.

She said: ‘The suggestion that his account was hacked at all is palpable nonsense. He was the only person who had access by December 7.

‘And he was the only one to profit from the subscription hike. By December 7, the rumour mill was going.

‘He was getting traction on social media, a lot of people were looking at him. That is why he put the price up, so he could make a quick buck.’

Gemma Rose, defending Bear, told the jury: ‘You may not agree with Mr Bear’s views or his work online, but this is not a court of morals. You must judge the case on the evidence that is put before you.

‘He received around £40,000 from OnlyFans but in respect of that video OnlyFans state the payment was 2,000 dollars.’

Ms Harrison said she ‘was in the worst state of my life’ after the video was shared.

‘I can’t explain the shame I felt. I did not want to leave my room. Instead of apologising, he put his subscription price up from £25 to £50,’ she told the court.

‘If he did it or not, which I believe he did, that is no way to act. It is brazen and he knows what he has done.’

The alleged offences are said to have taken place in August 2020 and November 2020. Bear was arrested after returning from Dubai in January 2021.

Ms Carey said he spent five minutes in the toilet of the jet before being taken into police custody.

Officers searching his suitcase and another bearing his brother’s name, Robert Bear, said they could not find a phone or any other electronic device.Bear denied travelling with his brother and during a search at the police station, officers found a sim card key in his joggers.
