EXCLUSIVE: Hollyoaks’ Romeo delivers his VERY hunky take on World Book Day for Rayne’s followers (but will Tom be the breakout star?)
Romeo Nightingale will offer his hilarious take on World Book Day in Wednesday’s Hollyoaks, as he strips off to show how beneficial books can be.
In an exclusive clip from Wednesday’s First Look E4 episode, the hunk films an amusing video for Rayne Royce’s social media accounts, reciting plots from famous novels while lifting them in place of weights.
As the clip begins, Romeo (Owen Warner) prepares himself for the video by donning an exercise vest and standing in front of a green screen, while Rayne (Jemma Donovan) prepares her camera.
He says: ‘I normally just take selfies in a gym mirror,’ leading his girlfriend to quip: ‘And this is why I have a hundred times more followers than you.’
Turning on the camera, Rayne declares: ‘Let’s make some magic!’

Holding up a pile of books, Romeo says: ‘It’s World Book Day it’s time to get your brain jacked.’
Lifting a copy of Pride and Prejudice, he says: ‘In this 1813 novel of malice, Elizabeth Bennt learns the meaning of goodness by realising that…’ before cutting him repping with The Great Gatsby
He adds: ‘Gatsby’s decadent parties would require him to…’ before holding a box of novels and saying: ‘…sign a sex contract with the mysterious Christian Grey.’
The pair were then interrupted by Tom Cunningham (Ellis Hollins), who is stunned by Romeo’s unorthodox post.
Rayne says: ‘Its spon con, literature!’ while a shocked Tom declares: ‘You’re gonna give the lad a hernia!’
Unaware that the camera is still rolling, Tom adds: ‘Books isn’t about abs, books is about learning, you know what I mean.’
Holding one of the books he adds: ‘I actually like this one! Back to the boiler then!’ before fleeing the room.
Could Tom become a breakout star thanks to his passion for reading?

Meanwhile at the Maaliks, the family gather belongings to take to Imran during their next visit to the eating disorder clinic, where they learn he is finally well enough to return home.
Imran adjusts to life back at home but feels his family are being overprotective and decides to rebel by joining his friends for a fun day out.
Hollyoaks is released first on All4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. It also airs Mondays to Fridays at 6:30pm on Channel 4, and 7pm on E4.
