‘Bad comments, you can keep that for yourself’: Made in Chelsea’s Maeva D’Ascanio responds to backlash over holiday without baby son

Made in Chelsea‘s Maeva D’Ascanio has urged people to not share their negative comments amid her trip abroad without her baby son.

The reality star, 30, welcomed her first child with husband-to-be James Taylor, 27, in November last year, and the pair are currently enjoying a skiing trip abroad.

It’s unclear where the new parents have jetted off to but Maeva has been keeping fans updated during the trip.

Maeva has confirmed that three-month-old Beau is not with her and James and is instead staying with his grandma while they’re away.

She shared a sweet photo with Beau and wrote: ‘Miss you my little angel can’t wait to have you back soon’

She finished the post by adding: ‘(bad comments, you can keep that for yourself)’.

She then shared a snap of the tot and penned: ‘My pudding at his grandma, I miss you!!!’

Back in December, Maeva and partner James Taylor rushed Beau to hospital amid a breathing scare, but quickly assured fans that he was fine.

Maeva said Beau was creating mucus after being born via a C-section, so his breathing sounded funny.

The pair welcomed Beau in November.

They announced the happy news with a sweet Instagram video as the new-mum cradled the precious newborn in her arms.

They also shared snaps from the hospital as well as the moment James first met his son, with Maeva gushing he would make the ‘best daddy ever’.

Earlier this month, she hit back at an ‘idiot’ troll after she was criticised for isolating away from her newborn son when she caught Covid .

The Made In Chelsea star tested positive for the virus and sent her five-week-old son to stay with her mother-in-law until she recovered.

Maeva then fired back: ‘What the hell you know about my life if I’m well or not you idiot! You’re right it would have been better to keep my baby close to me sick with covid and coughing in his face !!!’

NHS guidelines advise parents with coronavirus to avoid coughing or sneezing on your baby, following strict sterilisation guidelines and allowing them their own separate sleep space.

However the guidelines also state that it is fine to maintain skin-to-skin time and to continue breastfeeding because the benefits and the protection it offers to babies outweigh any potential risks of transmission.

WHAT ARE THE MEDICAL REASONS FOR A C-SECTION?

-A C-section is an operation to deliver your baby through a cut made in your stomach and womb.

There are various reasons why a doctor may recommend that you have a caesarean section instead of giving birth vaginally.

If you had complications in a previous pregnancy or birth, or in your current pregnancy, you may be advised to have what’s called a planned or elective caesarean, or a planned repeat caesarean.

If you were planning to give birth vaginally, but complications during labour or birth mean that you’re advised to give birth by caesarean, you’ll have what’s called an unplanned or emergency caesarean.

Here are some reasons why doctors may opt for a planned or emergency caesarean, rather than a vaginal birth:

You’ve already had at least one caesarean section;

Your baby is in a bottom-down, or breech, position;

Your baby is in a sideways (transverse) position, or keeps changing its position (unstable lie);

You have a low-lying placenta (placenta praevia);

You have a medical condition, such as heart disease or diabetes;

You have lost a baby in the past, either before or during labour;

You’re expecting twins or more;

Your baby is not growing as well as it should be in your womb;

You have severe pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, making it dangerous to delay the birth.
