Three 6 Mafia rapper Gangsta Boo has died at the age of 43.
TMZ reported Sunday that the musical artist, whose real name is Lola Mitchell, was remembered by musical colleagues including DJ Paul, on social media.
The outlet reported that Gangsta Boo’s cause of death was not immediately clear. According to FOX13 Memphis, Gangsta Boo was found dead at around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

DJ Paul, a member of Three 6 Mafia, posted an apparent memorial image of Gangsta Boo working on a turntable.
The post drew a number of responses from notable names such as Ludacris, Paul Wall, 2 Chainz, BReal and Big Boi. Drake posted a memorial that read, ‘Rest in heaven Gangsta Boo.’
The musical artist initially began performing in the 1990s with members of the rap group such as Paul and Juicy J, along with Lord Infamous, Crunchy Black and Koopsta Knicca.
She had released solo albums and collaborated with Three 6 Mafia on their initial five studio albums, including 1995’s Mystic Stylez, 1996’s Chapter 1: The End and 2001’s Choices.

Gangsta Boo had departed the group in the early 2000s and went on to release three solo albums: 1998’s Enquiring Minds, 2001’s Both Worlds *69 and 2003’s Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera.
She had also collaborated with artists including OutKast, Lil Jon, T.I., The Game and Gucci Mane. In recent years, she had worked with artists Run The Jewels, consisting of Killer Mike and El-P.
She had maintained a strong presence of social media, with more than 266,000 followers on Instagram, posting as recently as Saturday on Instagram Stories.
A number of artists, including 2 Chainz and Ludacris, took to Instagram to pay memorial to the late artist

Drake posted a memorial that read, ‘Rest in heaven Gangsta Boo’ with a picture of the late performer
Gangsta Boo had also been working with the music outlet Uproxx, as last month she posted a clip of a performance of her song I’m Fresh.
She captioned the clip: ‘#wassupmane Had fun doing this live session of “I’m Fresh” (produced by my brother @nickhook) at @uproxxmusic@uproxx S/O to the ppl behind the scenes that made this happen! #theBooPrint#BooRoxx#effortless.’
Her most recent post came three days back as she was pictured with pal MJG in an image tagged in the Orange Mound neighborhood of Memphis.
She captioned the clip: ‘MJG over my erratic behavior #pressure.’
Gangsta Boo was pictured onstage in April of 2015 in Indio, California alongside Killer Mike
