Boxer Errol Spence Jr. escapes frightening car wreck with ’14-year-old who took parents’ car’

Unified welterweight boxing champion Errol Spence Jr. was involved in a major car accident on Saturday night – his second since 2019 – but avoided major injury.

The 32-year-old Texan posted a self-shot video from the aftermath of the crash, in which he claims he was hit ‘head on’ by a 14-year-old who took his parents’ car without permission or a driver’s license.

‘He ran the light,’ Spence said on the video, showing the crumpled front end of an SUV. ‘F*** my whole s*** up.’

At that point, some voices could be heard in the background, prompting a response from the undefeated Spence.

‘Man shut up,’ Spence said. ‘It don’t matter.’

Spence then appeared to reference his single-car wreck in 2019, when he was ejected from his Ferrari after drinking and neglecting to fasten his seatbelt.

‘Always happen to me,’ said Spence, who was hospitalized for six days and suffered post-traumatic stress, while somehow managing to avoid any broken bones in the 2019 wreck.

As Spence told DailyMail.com in April, that crash served as a wakeup call, and he has since bought a ranch in the Dallas area, where he, his twin daughters and son are now enjoying the country life.

Details of Saturday’s crash have not been revealed, but Spence appeared to be fine in his self-shot Instagram video.

But that doesn’t mean he was in a good mood.

‘Thank God I didn’t have my kids on board,’ Spence said. ‘S*** I’m not worried about no damn car. Motherf***er hit me. F***ed up my leg up. It’s crazy.’

It’s also unclear what Spence was driving, although he claimed his car was ‘bulletproof,’ ‘heavy as hell,’ and ‘all metal.’

Spence was driving ‘at a high rate of speed’ before his 2019 wreck, according to police. He was later charged with DWI 

The most aggravating part for Spence was his belief that the other driver was underage and driving without a license.

‘This n*****’s 14 and took his parents’ car without them knowing,’ said one of Spence’s acquaintances off screen. ‘He ain’t got no god**** driver’s license.’

Spence could not believe it.

‘That’s crazy,’ he said. ‘Kid that hit me is 14-years-old.

‘He was going fast as s****, but my car bullet proof.’

The accident occurred ahead of Saturday’s Terence Crawford bout against David Avanesyan, which boxing fans hope is a prelude to a highly anticipated Spence-Crawford fight.

The two undefeated rivals have yet to face each other, despite years of trash talk and contentious contract negotiations. They supposed to fight in November, but Crawford has said if they do meet, it will likely happen in 2023.
