Christina Applegate showcased her new walking sticks on Twitter earlier Thursday ahead of her first public event outing since announcing her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis last year.Ā 

The Dead To Me actress, 50, has been staying positive and shared to her 1.5 million followers the steps she has begun to take in her MS journey.Ā 

The beauty revealed her diagnosis in August 2021, and at the time, tweeted that she has received overwhelming support from those also affected by the condition.Ā

In the photo that she shared onto her main Twitter page, the talented star showcased a total of five new walking sticks that she had just unwrapped.

Christina explained in the caption of the post, ‘I have a very important ceremony coming up.’Ā 

She also expressed to her fans and followers that, ‘This will be my first time out since diagnosed with MS. Walking sticks are now part of my new normal.’Ā 

The actress further added, ‘Stay tuned to see which ones make the cut for a week of stuff.’Ā Ā

The Married…With Children alum officially announced her MS diagnosis on Twitter earlier last year in August.Ā 

‘Hi friends. A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition,’ Christina had explained at the time.Ā

‘It’s been a touch road. But as we all know, the road keeps going,’ the star added, showing her positivity towards her health condition.Ā 

Multiple Sclerosis, also categorized simply as MS, is a disease that targets the central nervous system, and interrupts signals to properly pass between the brain and body, according to the National MS Society website.Ā

Although it is uncertain as to what ceremony Christina will soon be attending, the outing will be a milestone since her MS diagnosis.Ā 

Her Dead To Me co-star, James Marsden, opened up about the actress’s strength as she battles through her health condition. Earlier in the year, she was pictured arriving on set of Dead To Me season three with a cane.Ā 

‘Nothing is going to keep her down, and she is going to battle and fight through anything,’ the Enchanted star explained to Entertainment Tonight. ‘I admire her as a person.’Ā 

He also added that, ‘Anything life will throw at her, she will figure out a way to not let it keep her down, and she is doing exactly that. It’s really inspiring to see.’Ā Ā 

Although Christina hasn’t made any public outings since finding out she had MS, she has kept her devoted fans and followers up-to-date with her journey on social media.Ā 

The Vacation actress also has the loving support of her husband, Martyn LeNoble, whom she said ‘I do’ to nearly ten years ago in 2013.Ā The couple have one daughter, Sadie, who was welcomed to the world in 2011.Ā 

The star’s Netflix series, Dead To Me, will premiere its third and final season next month on November 17.Ā Ā
