Alec Baldwin has been slammed by fans after he shared a photo of late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on Friday, one year after he fatally shot her on the set of Rust.
The actor, 64, posted a photo of Hutchins with a camera with the caption: ‘One year ago today’ – with social media followers branding the star ‘disgraceful’ and calling for him to be ‘held accountable.’
No one has been charged or even arrested in Hutchins’ killing despite a year of legal back and forth, public feuding and lawsuits. Baldwin has maintained it was an accident but not one that he was responsible for.
One follower wrote: ‘You are f*****g posting something you should be ashamed of? It’s like making your disgraceful reality a throwback just for Instagram. So desensitized!! I wonder how and with what.’

Another wrote:  ‘One year ago you killed her…..how brave to even post this’ while another typed: ‘This was your fault and not a freak accident. You should be held accountable.
One follower wrote: ‘This isn’t a slap in the face or anything’, with another writing: ‘Is this the woman you killed?’, with a third adding: ‘This feels really inappropriate since you’re the one who shot and killed her.’
Others called Baldwin a ‘bold one’ for daring to post the image while another fan called for Baldwin to be put in jail.
The prosecutor tasked with bringing charges in Baldwin‘s fatal shooting of Hutchins last year said on Friday she was ‘committed’ to pursuing justice for the victims and warned: ‘No one is above the law’.Â
Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies on Friday told DailyMail.com in a statement that she is still waiting for the sheriff’s report into the shooting.Â
Only when she has that can she make a decision, but she issued the ominous warning: ‘No one is above the law.’Â

Posts:Â The post was hit by a social media backlashÂ
‘On the anniversary of the tragedy on the Rust film set in Santa Fe County, District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altweis remains committed to pursuing justice for the victims, and getting answers for the community.Â
‘As soon as the District Attorney receives the full report from the Santa Fe County Sheriff, she and her team of professional attorneys and investigators will thoroughly review all the evidence and make a thoughtful decision about whether to bring charges against those involved.Â
‘No one is above the law and every victim deserves justice.’Â

Baldwin, who maintains it was an accident but not one that he was responsible for, has not commented.Â
He insists that he did not pull the trigger, claiming instead that the faulty gun was tragically loaded with live rounds instead of bullets and that it fired on its own.Â
The sheriff’s department is yet to release its report, and it’s unclear what the hold up is.Â
Halyna Hutchins, 42, was shot and killed last October 21 while working on the set of Rust
Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was 24 at the time and became a quick scapegoat, says she isn’t to blame either.
Meanwhile Hutchins’ widower, Matthew, has dropped a lawsuit against Baldwin and the film’s production.Â
He had sued them for wrongful death, but backed out of it after reaching a secret settlement.Â
While the terms of that settlement have not been made public, he will now serve as a producer on the movie once it resumes production.Â
None of the other parties have commented on the anniversary.Â
Baldwin and his wife Hilaria recent welcomed their seventh child – a baby girl.Â
Hilaria was seen leaving their Manhattan apartment yesterday with the youngest child.Â
After the shooting last year, they decamped to Vermont with their children. The family has since listed their Hamptons home for sale.Â
