Opening up: Taylor Swift, 32, is set to give fans an insight into their romance with the release of her highly-anticipated, most personal album yet, Midnights

Taylor explained that her latest 13-track record tells the ‘stories of 13 sleepless nights, scattered throughout my life,’ with several of the tracks lifting the lid on her romance.

In Sweet Nothing’s, Taylor sings: ‘I found myself running home to your sweet nothings, I’ll take their pushing, shoving.

‘You’re in the kitchen humming, all that you ever wanted from me was sweet nothing.’

Taylor implies that whilst everyone else want’s something from her, Joe is the one person who remained genuine and true.

She continued: ‘They said the end is coming, everyone’s up to something, I found myself running home to your sweet nothings.’

This isn’t the first time that Taylor has enlisted Joe’s help as he previously featured under his pseudonym of William Bowery on her previous albums Folklore and Evermore.

Taylor began dating Joe in late 2016 after they were rumoured to have crossed paths at that year’s Met Gala in New York City.

Previously, Taylor revealed how another song, Lavender Haze is about protecting ‘the real stuff’ in her relationship with Joe.

In a clip shared to Instagram, she explained: ‘Like, If you were in the Lavender Haze, that meant you were in that all-encompassing love glow, and I thought that was really beautiful.

‘I guess theoretically, when you’re in the lavender haze, you’ll do anything to stay there and not let people bring you down off of that cloud.

‘I think a lot of people have to deal with this now, not just public figures, because we live in the era of social media. If the world finds out that you’re in love with somebody, they’re going to weigh in on it.’

She added: ‘We’ve had to dodge weird rumours, tabloid stuff, and we just ignore it. This song is sort of about the act of ignoring that stuff to protect the real stuff.’
