The Love Island villa was rocked on Wednesday night’s episode during a shock recoupling when Ekin-Su had the choice of three men.
Turkish actress Ekin-Su chose Italian hunk Davide as they stood by the fire pit, leaving his former partner Antigoni to pair up with Charlie after Ekin-Su’s ex Jay was chosen by Danica.
Ekin-Su told the group of her decision: ‘Firstly this is going to be one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

‘I didn’t know whether to play it safe or take a risk. I personally would like to give this person a chance and I’m hoping he would too.
‘So the boy I want to couple up with is Davide.’
Davide told her as she sat down next to him: ‘Nice speech.’

Ekin-Su’s decision left Jay open to be picked by another girl, with Danica saying before making her choice: ‘We’ve had some great conversations and I find him attractive but even if nothing comes from this I think we could have a great friendship.’
Looking shocked at Danica choosing Jay, Antigoni mouthed: ‘I can’t believe this s**t,’ before standing up and picking Charlie.
Pulling the rest of the girls for a chat, Antagoni said: ‘I just don’t get it. Danica and Jay have no connection.’

Jay declared to the other boys: ‘I thought I closed the door, I thought it was a sure thing. I couldn’t have closed it any more.

Taking a seat with some of her fellow Islanders later, Danica said: ‘If I genuinely knew, hands down, that Jay and Antigoni could possibly have something then I’m not saying it would have swayed what I was going to do but it might have been like, oh f**k.’
Honesty is the best policy? Jay insisted he had made it plain to Danica that he didn’t think they’d work as a pair before the recoupling, saying: ‘I think I said to her, the door’s closed. Don’t pick me’
She added in the beach hut: ‘Have I missed something? Jay, if he smack bang closed that door romantically, then I thought he would have closed that door romantically. I’m so confused.’
Today has been a bit wild and I think me, you and Ekin were all in a bit of a weird thing. I am genuinely apologetic if you feel a certain way.
I don’t have an issue with you at all, you have to go with your gut. It’s not even like me and Jay are a thing. We’re just a potential conversation thing.

Meanwhile, Davide admitted he was hoping Ekin-Su would choose him in the recoupling despite him sneaking a kiss with Jay on the villa’s terrace while she was previously coupled-up with Davide.
Davide said: ‘To be honest I don’t know what I would like at this exact moment. I’m just having fun with Ekin-Su but maybe if I can change my opinion about Ekin-Su.’

Pondering on why she and Davide struggled to find a true spark when they were previously coupled-up, she said: ‘I said in the past, it was just because I was pushing you. It was just a game.’
Quizzed on whether he liked Ekin-Su by the boys, Davide said: ‘It’s not about fancying. I’m not going to lie, I fancy her, she’s a good looking girl. If you asked me, would I shag her, I’d say yes. But not as a girlfriend.’
Following last night’s heart-pumping challenge, a number of the boys are keen to make amends with their partners after a number of guys set their sights on some of the other girls during the steamy heart rate challenge dances.
Andrew surprised Tasha with a homemade breakfast after Tasha was left annoyed when he was seemingly too impressed by Danica’s moves, and it appears the girls are satisfied with their efforts as Indiyah said: ‘My heart is racing for this pancake, you deffo made up, you deffo made up for yourselves.’
Meanwhile on the day beds, Jacques pulls Paige for a chat to apologise for how he reacted in the moment last night.
He says: ‘When you actually opened up and told me why, I was like ok, I apologise. I should’ve had your feelings first before mine.’
In the Beach Hut he reflects: ‘Last night with Paige, I was quite selfish at first- I realised that pretty quick when I spoke to her. I should’ve been there for her straight away.’
Back on the day beds, he says to her: ‘I’d love to prove to you how much you mean to me.’
Relaxing in the bean bag area, the Islanders are discussing last night’s antics when Ekin-Su receives a text. It reads:
“Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling in which the girls will choose which boys they want to couple up with. #girlsontop #bigchickenergy”
With the power firmly in her hands, Ekin-Su is confused about her next move, she speaks to Gemma about Davide, asking: “Do you think he is interested in me?”
Gemma says: ‘I think he is but it will be a longer process, there still definitely is chemistry. Everyone can see it.’
Later in the Beach Hut, Ekin-Su ponders her upcoming decision: ‘I have these three boys in front of me, all of them have given me something great. Charlie is amazing, I’m myself with him- everything flows, nothing is forced. Jay obviously there’s a very big sexual chemistry with him, then you have Davide who we did start something… what do I do?’
She says: “If I’m honest, you were in my top three when I first came in, looks wise, so it’s not like I’d be completely closed off to being in a couple with yourself. I think it’s important for me to let you know that you’re somebody that I would consider.”
How will Jay respond to Danica’s advances? And who will Danica choose to couple up with?
Antigoni was seen chatting to Jay after he spoke to Danica, with Antagoni telling she ‘will not be second best’ ahead of the recoupling.
Unsure of her next move Antigoni, discusses her options with the girls: ‘With Davide, I’m super comfortable – we really get along. Whatever it ended up being, it would be authentic.
‘With Jay there was an initial attraction there but obviously I came in as this whole saga with Paige was unravelling and now he’s turned round in the last few days and is like I want to get to know you on a more romantic level.

I would like to stay couple-up with him but if you feel like you have a deep romantic thing with him then I would respect it. And I actually would respect it.
To be honest I don’t know what I would like at this exact moment. I’m just having fun with Ekin-Su but maybe if I can change my opinion about Ekin-Su.
