Bindi Irwin celebrated her parents’ enduring love story on Saturday by sharing a rarely seen photo from her family archive.

Steve and Terri Irwin would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this month, but their marriage was cruelly cut short when Steve, known to millions around the world as ‘the Crocodile Hunter’, was killed in a freak accident in 2006.

In the throwback snap posted on Instagram, Terri strikes a fun and sexy pose on a battered couch as a khaki-clad Steve makes a phone call.

Bindi, 23, captioned the picture: ’30 years of a love story that has inspired the world.’

In February, Terri, 57, shared the same picture of the pair as she commemorated the anniversary of their engagement.

‘It was 30 years ago today that Steve proposed,’ she wrote.

Steve died in September 2006 after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming a documentary on the Batt Reef in Queensland. 

Earlier this week, Terri marked her 30th wedding anniversary with Steve by sharing a sweet picture of them together on Twitter.

Steve and Terri tied the knot in 1992 in her home state of Oregon.

The American conservationist never remarried following the death of her husband.

The Irwin family – including the couple’s children Bindi and Robert, 18, plus their son-in-law Chandler Powell – have carried on Steve’s legacy at Australia Zoo.
