Harrison Ford makes surprise appearance at Star Wars Celebration saying he’s ‘really proud of’ his forthcoming Indiana Jones film
Harrison Ford made a surprise appearance at the Star Wars Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on Thursday, ahead of next year’s Indiana Jones film.
The Hollywood icon, 79, made a cameo amid a presentation from Lucasfilm where he spoke about the fifth installment in the Indiana Jones series.
The Oscar-nominated actor, famed for playing Han Solo in the Star Wars films, made an entrance when famed composer and conductor John Williams led an orchestra in playing the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Ford told fans, ‘It’s a special honor for me to be able to congratulate John on his 90th birthday. I told John on another occasion when we had a chance to be together that that music follows me everywhere I go.
‘And you know what? I’m happy about it. That music was playing on the speakers of the operating room when I had my last colonoscopy … I passed.’
Ford spoke kindly of the legendary composer, and told the crowd, ‘We have almost completed the next Indiana Jones film, featuring the music of John Williams.’

The actor said he ‘had a wonderful experience working’ with director James Mangold and producers Kathy Kennedy and Frank Marshall on the project.
‘I’m really proud of the movie that we made,’ Ford said. ‘So, I’ll be seeing you around campus.’
Thursday’s event was the convention’s first in-person gathering since 2019, as the venue was filled with Star Wars fans donning costumes of popular characters in the franchise.

Other notable appearances at the start of the four-day gathering included Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen of Obi-Wan Kenobi appearing in front of a choir who sang Duel of the Fates.
Yvette Nicole Brown acted as moderator for the panel, which features discussion about upcoming projects such as Skeleton Crew, Andor, and Willow.
