Australian television royalty paraded down the red carpet for the 62nd Logie Awards wearing barely-there gowns, gaping midriffs and deep v-necks to signal that sexy is back at star-studded events this year.

The 2022 Logie Awards at Queensland’s Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre saw the nation’s most celebrated celebrities step out in full force including host Sophie Monk, television presenter Lisa Wilkinson and singer Jessica Mauboy.

Other attendees included Abbie Chatfield, Joel Creasey, Jacinta Stapleton, Angela Bishop, Chrissie Swan, Anna Heinrich and Karl Stefanovic.

While many showed off their effortless style with a hint of skin others failed to impress in raunchy, questionable get-ups for TVs night of nights.

But what was clear after a red carpet event filled with sequins, glitter and strapless dresses is that 2022 will be the year of sexy surprises – with no holding back after a pandemic that saw Aussies embrace loungewear over couture designs.

WORST

Some stars decided to make safer outfit choices and unfortunately failed to impress with simple dresses.

Neighbours actress Charlotte Chimes missed the mark by donning a bland black skirt and matching bandeau top, while actress Rebekah Elmaloglou failed to flatter in a burgundy dress with thigh split and shoulder detailing.

The Block star Kirsty Lee Aykers posed in a black floor-length gown with lace detail and sheer accents which didn’t do her enviable physique any favours.

Actress Nathalie Morris and Lucinda Cowden both made made poor outfit choices with dull, safe and black dresses that didn’t compare to bolder appearances on the carpet.
