David Beckham dotes on daughter Harper, 10, during a fun-filled gondola ride in Venice

They have a very close-knit relationship, with the football legend often sharing sweet snaps and videos of his youngest child on social media.

And David Beckham further cemented his bond with daughter Harper on Saturday as they enjoyed a fun-filled gondola ride during a trip to Venice, Italy.

The Inter Miami CF co-owner, 47, doted on 10-year-old Harper and kissed her head  as they took in the sights of the city during their father-daughter day.

David appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the outing as he was seen beaming and looking around the City of Water in wonderment.

Likewise, Harper seemed very impressed with her surroundings as she too turned this way and that as they sailed through the waterways of Venice. 

Former footballer David certainly dressed the part for his day of leisure, cutting a cool figure in a blue shirt, white trousers and trendy shades.

Meanwhile, young Harper looked adorable in a lilac dress, with her hair styled in pigtails for the day.

She followed in her mother’s stylish footsteps as she also donned a chic pair of light brown shades. 

The pair happily chatted away and gazed at their surroundings while a gondolier, dressed in traditional clothing, toiled away behind them. 

Proud dad David was even seen taking a snap of his girl on his phone in a bid to remember the lovely outing.

As the ride came to an end, David was seen shaking hands with the gondolier to thank him for the service. 

Despite their excursion on water, the father-daughter duo were also seen on another water vessel on Saturday as they took a ride on a water taxi. 

There, protective dad David sweetly wrapped his arm around his daughter and planted a kiss on her head as they made their way to their next destination. 

David has yet to reveal why he’s in the Italian city and there was no sign of his other children – Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17 – whom he shares with wife Victoria, 48, on the trip.

The sportsman did however make an appearance on his wife’s Instagram earlier in the day as she showed off their new puppy.

The Beckham family welcomed a brand new addition to the family last week in the form of an adorable pup named Simba Beckham. 

And the arrival appeared to be settling into family life, as Victoria shared a slew of sweet snaps  of the pooch, which she dubbed ‘A real posh puppy’. 

Showing that Simba is being showered with attention, the snaps included her husband David lying down for a cuddle, before their son Romeo and daughter Harper got in on the action.

The first shot showed David lying on his front with his arms crossed – as the pup nestled his head on the former footballer’s elbow. 

Flashing a smile to the camera, David locked Simba between his arms as they enjoyed the sweet cuddle.

While another showed Harper, the youngest of the Beckham clan (prior to Simba!), planting a kiss on his head.
